About Kodak Black:

Who is Kodak Black?

Kodak Black is a rapper from Pompano Beach, Florida. Kodak was first known as a bit-part character on French Montana’s “Lockjaw” song in Kodak’s verse before he gained recognition for the single “No Flockin'” in 2015. Kodak later released his debut mixtape, Project Baby in 2016 which was followed up by four more projects in 2017 including Lil B.I.G Pac, Painting Pictures, Institution, and Heart Break Kodak.

Kodak’s songs are often about his own life and childhood growing up in Florida, this includes songs about Kodak being a father and having spent time in prison. Kodak first started rapping as a child and first became interested in hip-hop music after hearing Tupac Shakur. Kodak decided to start rapping because he thought it would be an interesting hobby.

On May 14, 2021, Kodak released a mixtape called Haitian Boy Kodak. The album’s cover art pays homage to his Haitian heritage. In its debut week, Kodak complained that the mixtape had sold just 22,000 copies. He claimed that gangsta rap fans had abandoned him

On his 24th birthday, June 11, 2021, Kodak released his next project, Happy Birthday Kodak. On November 1, 2021, Kodak released a music video for the song “Super Gremlin,” from Syko Bob and Snapkatt’s Halloween.
