According to the Massachusetts Film Office, production for the new Jake Gyllenhaal’s new movie is ramping up production in Boston.

Stronger is an upcoming drama movie based on the book of the same name by Jeff Bauman and Bret Witter. The movie will be directed David Gordon Green and based on a screenplay by John Pollono. The movie features Jake Gyllenhaal, Tatiana Maslany, Miranda Richardson, and Clancy Brown.

Stronger centers around Jeff Bauman, a man who lost his legs after the Boston Marathon bombing and tried to walk again and adjust to his new circumstances.

The movie started production in 2014 after it was reported that Lionsgate wa developing a movie based on Jeff Bauman’s memoir Stronger. Filming first started in Boston on April 4, 2016 and now casting directors are seeking new talent to work on the feature film. C.P. Casting is currently looking for local talent to work on the new feature film.
