Teen Music Sensation and San Antonio Native set to Shoot a Major Music Video with Multi-Grammy award-winning producer, Andrew Lane in San Antonio February 13-17th.
J. Ryan, a new teen recording artist and San Antonio native, will be filming a major music video in San Antonio Feb. 13-17.
“Love Yourself “was inspired by a young fan who was brave enough to share her story of overcoming depression, thanks in part to J. Ryan’s message of hope, as he was headlining for Teen Nation Tour – an anti-bullying campaign that provides free concerts to schools around the country. www.TeenNationTour.org
The video will be a cinematic journey through the days of several San Antonio characters who learn to love themselves and passionately pursue their dreams.
“Love Yourself” was produced by multi-Grammy award winning producer Andrew Lane, known for his work with the Backstreet Boys, Keith Sweat, “Hannah Montana,” and “Bring It On.”
Live auditions will be taking place Feb. 12th and 13th in San Antonio. Video submissions are also currently being accepted.

Below is a list of the roles we are currently casting for.
Lead Roles:
- A Girl (age 14 – 20)
the daughter of a Rancher who runs her family’s store. She dreams of being a fashion designer but fears she’ll never make it out of her small town and away from her miserable life. Through a chance encounter she is changed forever.
Special Requirements: Available Feb. 15-17, looking for hispanic actress but accepting all submissions - An Athlete (age 16-20)
a young man whose family is shaken by years of war and service to the country. He is determined to succeed but alienates himself from others. After a life-altering injury he surprises himself – and us – with a new sense of purpose. Special Requirements: Athletic Build, Available Feb. 15-17 - A Senior Pianist (age 60+)
an elderly woman whose life-long love has passed away. Despite her arthritis, she begins to sing again, this time learning to play her husband’s parts on the piano, reconnecting to her long lost love through the songs they used to make together.
Special Requirements: Must play piano - A Young Magician (age 12-17 years)
a whimsical kid who is a passionate magician. He practices everywhere – at home, at school, on the streets, or on the roof at dawn. Sometimes other kids can be cruel, but he’s unafraid to be himself.
Special Requirements: Interest in magic tricks, Available Feb. 16th or 17th
Supporting Roles:
- Ranch Owner – (Hispanic Male age 40-70) – the father of our lead heroine. caring, hardworking, wrinkled by the sun.
- Military Male – (Male age 40-60) – the father of our lead Athlete. He’s a veteran, a war hero, and a husband.
- Middle-aged Woman – (Female age 40-60) – The mother of our Athlete. She’s a strong loving woman, but is struggling to maintain her marriage under the stress of being a military spouse.
- Young Mother – (Female age 20-35) – The mother of our Young Magician. She’s a superwoman, a single mother raising her eccentric son while running her own successful business. She’s beautiful and strong, not afraid to strike out and make it on her own.
- Adult Magician – (Male or Female age 20-60) – A mystical illusionist and street performer familiar with all kinds of magical mayhem. This person will also be credited as the official Magic Consultant.
- Background Students – (Males and Females age 13-19)
