Producers and casting directors for the FX television pilot “Hoke” are now seeking actors to work on the series in Miami.

Marinella Hume Casting is currently looking for extras and actors to work on the pilot starring Paul Giamatti and Oona Chaplin. According to Deadline, FX’s new series “Hoke” is a dark comedic drama based on the Charles Willeford series of novels.  “Hoke” is written by Scott Frank, who is expected to director and showrun the pilot. The new TV pilot will center on a story of a mid life crisis and murder that features a hardboiled and possibly insane homicide detective Hoke Moseley set in Miami in the 1980s.

Please note that this series takes place in 1978.  Wardrobe fittings WILL be MANDATORY for ALL.  The roles below are just a few of the types they will be looking for. Start growing out those mustaches guys and bust out the blow dryers ladies so your hair can be Farrah fabulous.

ROLES:
POLICE STATION EXTRAS: Looking for men & women, ages 18 to 65, all ethnicities. Must be available on 2/12. Put “PD” in subject line. Please do not submit if you’ve already been booked on this or another day.
PAUL GIAMATTI STAND IN: Male, 5’7″ to 5’9″, balding brown hair.

Older Filipino Man: Male, of Filipino, Vietnamese or Thai descent. Maybe fabulous and flamboyant? All types. Will consider those ages 40-60’s. Put “HOUSE” in subject line.  VERY FEATURED EXTRA. Pays higher than standard extra rate. Shoots 2/19 and possibly 2/18.
CUBANS: Men, Women, and Children, all ages, who can realistically portray someone of Cuban descent. MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE WORKING ON THE WATER. If you are easily sea sick, this one is not for you.  Put “CUBAN” in subject line. Works 2/14 & 2/18.
