FX’s ‘Atlanta’ Season 2: How to Audition for a Role

0

Filming for FX’s Atlanta season 2 casting is now underway.

Written by and starring Donald Glover, who himself grew up in the titular city, FX’s Atlanta follows two cousins on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene whose opposing views on art versus commerce, success and race will make their quest anything but easy. Glover will also act as the show’s executive producer, along with Paul Simms (Girls, Flight of the Conchords), and Dianne McGunigle.

According to IMDB, FX’s Atlanta’s casting director is Feldstein and Paris Casting, the casitng company behind several hit TV shows including Stranger Things and Sleepy Hollow. Recently, the casting company sat down with Meals4Monologues and discussed their acting process. According to the video, the casting directors approach each project by having a “strong belief that by combining their efforts they are able to see more talent and provide the best options in every casting situation, to put together the best possible cast for each project they work on.”

For a TV series this big, casting directors are contacting talent through talent agencies. If you are interested in a speaking role in the upcoming new season contact your talent agent for an audition. If you do not have an agent, check out our guide to landing an acting agent here.
