Dove Men+Care is now casting real dads in Toronto, Ontario.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming between January to March 2019 for a new content series for Dove Men+Care in Toronto, Ontario.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • 1. Urban Professional Dad – Successful Professional who had his career as a priority until the moment he decided to have a child.
  • 2. New Canadian Dad – Someone who has been in Canada for 5 years or less.
  • 3. Blue Collar Dad – Someone who works in any type of blue collar field – E.G. Manual work, tradesman, craftsman, construction or auto worker, etc.
  • 4. LGBTQ Dad – One of you is taking a turn at paternity leave.
  • 5. Self Employed Dad – Someone who has their own business.
  • 6. Freelance Dad – Someone who works freelance gigs/jobs.
  • 7. Adoptive Parent Dad – Someone who has just adopted a child (We are open on the age of your child in this scenario).
  • 8. Single Dad – Someone who does not have a partner and will be raising this child on their own.
  • 9. Other Dad – Someone with a story that does not fit the above categories.

Dove Men+Care in partnership with Jigsaw Casting is seeking Dads across Canada who will be on paternity leave between Jan to March 2019 for a new content series.

Concept
This is a content series that follows several fathers on their paternity leave journey. A documentarian will follow each father at different times throughout their paternity leave. Dads will also be given GoPro cameras to document their unique process from preparing financially to the experiences of spending time with their new child at home. Our goal is to create content that’s both emotionally and intellectually engaging, connecting the viewer with the real stories of families going through this experience. Our hope is that more men will take advantage of the Governments paternity leave program.

Seeking the following fathers who are planning on taking paternity leave anytime during the 1st year of your child’s life – Minimum 4 weeks or more:
1. Urban Professional Dad – Successful Professional who had his career as a priority until the moment he decided to have a child.
2. New Canadian Dad – Someone who has been in Canada for 5 years or less.
3. Blue Collar Dad – Someone who works in any type of blue collar field – E.G. Manual work, tradesman, craftsman, construction or auto worker, etc.

If selected, we will have to agree to the full terms of your participation in the campaign, including providing you with an honorarium of $5,000 (VISA card). Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply. Interviews will be conducted via SKYPE. Your paternity leave period does not have to be consecutive.

Submissions are due by December 14, 2018 at 10am.

SHOOT will take place sometime between January to March, 2019. Footage will be taken from a mixture of GoPro cameras we give you as well as a small crew that will join you from time to time during your paternity leave.

*Please note that you will not be compensated for the skype audition.
*This is a union 706 job. Nonunion members can also apply.
*These are non-binding terms. If selected, a full agreement must be reached with participants regarding their participation in the program.
