Acting Tips for Families

If you have kids, then you know that one of the best ways to get them to listen to you is by using humor. The same goes for when you’re trying to get your family to act more cooperatively. Use these tips to get everyone on board with your plan:

  1. Make a game out of it.

Get your family to compete against each other in a friendly game of charades or Pictionary. Not only will this be a fun way to bond, but it will also help everyone learn how to express themselves better without words.

  1. Use props.

Nothing brings a scene to life like props! Whether it’s simple items around the house or something more elaborate, incorporating props into your family’s acting will make it more enjoyable for everyone.

  1. Get creative with costumes.

Encourage your family to get into character by wearing costumes that fit the scene you’re acting out. It is a great way to get everyone into the spirit of things and have some fun simultaneously.

  1. Make it a group effort.

Group scenes are always more fun than going solo. When everyone works together to create a performance, it’ll be more memorable and enjoyable.

  1. Take turns being the director.

Let each family member take turns being in charge of directing the scene. This way, everyone gets a chance to be creative and have their vision come to life.

  1. Practice, practice, practice!

The more you and your family rehearse, the better your final performance will be. So get everyone together and start practicing today!
