The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards aired live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Thursday, September 6, 2012. One Direction was the biggest winner receiving Best New Artist, Best Pop Video, and Most Share Worthy Video. Katy Perry gave the award to One Direction.
