The Call Girl’s Dilemma/Chamber of Love Independent Film Casting Call

Synopsis: Blue Panther Productions is casting the staged reading of “The Call Girl’s Dilemma” and “Chamber of Love,” by Scott Charles.  Chamber of Love: A divorcing couple discovers  therapy in fortune-cookie messages from an invisible arbiter.  The Call Girl’s Dilemma: An ex-hooker and her ex-john try to overcome her past and create a real estate empire.  This is a staged reading, not a full production; rehearsal times are scaled accordingly.

Character Breakdowns:

Dr. Lewindowski (Dr. L) (supporting): psychiatrist, 40s-50s.  Compassionate, intellectual.  Was once dedicated to helping battered women, but the system didn’t give him the support he needed.

Johnny (supporting), lawyer, late 40s-60s.  Smart, practical, loyal, pragmatic; unafraid of telling uncomfortable truths, he sees the world as it is.

Carter (lead), late 20s-40s.  Opinionated, a talker.  Wants to give comfort to his soon to be ex, but doesn’t quite know how.

Lisa (lead), late 20s-40s.  Wants to be heard and understood, tired of playing the tolerant housewife.
