Casting directors are seeking extras to work on a church scene filming in Wilmington, North Carolina.
‘Bolden’ is the passion project of Hyatt Hotels heir and writer/director Dan Pritzker, who has reportedly funneled millions into the film. ‘Bolden’ centers on a mythical account of the life of Buddy Bolden, the first Cornet King of New Orleans. According to IMDB, Bolden! features Jackie Earle Haley, Omari Hardwick, and Michael Rooker.
Casting directors are looking for actors, models, and talent to work on an African American church scene set in the year 1880. Producers are looking for African American men, women, and children.
Filming will take place in early January but fittings are scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. To audition for a role on Bolden, check out the casting call details below:

BOLDEN: On Wed, Thurs, and/Friday we will hold fittings for an AFRICAN AMERICAN CHURCH SCENE SET IN THE YEAR 1880, that will film in January. We will need African American men, women, and children. We will need lots of AFRICAN AMERICAN MEN WITH BEARDS, who are willing to let us cut it to fit the time period. PLEASE DO NOT SHAVE AT ALL… please not edge, trim, nor shave any facial hair whatsoever, in order to make this scene look as authentic as possible.
If you are available to work with us for a day or two in January (I do not have the exact date yet, but will soon), and attend a fitting later this week in Rocky Point, N.C. (about 25 min outside of Wilmington), and fit the above mentioned categories (no braces, hair highlights, dreads, visible tattoos, nor ear gauges), please follow these instructions:
Pay rate for background actors: $112.00 for up to 12 hours.
