‘Boardwalk Empire‘ casting call for African American shoe shiners in New York City.
Boardwalk Empire centers Atlantic City, New Jersey during the 1920′s Prohibition era. Boardwalk Empire stars Steve Buscemi as Nucky Thompson.
The show was developed by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter and producer Terence Winter. The creator Terry Winter commented several months ago that the decision to wrap the show came after a long discussion with HBO and his creative team. He also stated that he is looking forward to bringing the series to an exciting ending and conclusion.
‘Boardwalk Empire’ is based on a book about historical criminal kingpin Enoch L. Johnson by Nelson Johnson, titled Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City.
