MGM’s Aretha Franklin biopic ‘Respect‘ starring Jennifer Hudson is now hiring Atlanta actors.

Casting directors are now hiring actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on Wednesday, November 20th through early December in Atlanta, Georgia.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • Seeking “SHORT” standins with “BLOCKING EXPERIENCE”
  • Height: up to 5’0 (only) preferably shorter.

According to reports, the new Aretha Franklin Biopic is now filming in Atlanta, Georgia. Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald and Mary J. Blige will star in the upcoming MGM Aretha Franklin biopic with Jennifer Hudson playing the legendary singer.

“Respect” will open in theaters on Aug. 14, 2020. Scott Bernstein and Harvey Mason Jr., who has produced music for both Aretha Franklin and Jennifer Hudson, are producing the film.
