Third Coast Extras is seeking a Mariachi band to perform in the ABC Network TV pilot “Killer Women” shooting in Austin, TX.

Beth Sepko Casting and Third Coast Extras posted the following Casting call for the ABC Network TV pilot “Killer Women” that is currently filming in Austin, Texas.

“Killer Women” was recently discussed on TVLine  that Necessary Roughness star Marc Blucas will be joining the cast of “Killer Women”.

“Killer Women” is based on the Argentine series Mujeres Asesinas, the project — which counts Modern Family‘s Sofia Vergara among its producers — follows Molly Parker (played by Battlestar Galactica‘s Tricia Helfer), a beautiful and ballsy Ranger who knows how to get the truth and isn’t afraid to ruffle a few feathers on her way there.

Hannah Shakespeare (The Playboy Club) penned the script.

Blucas plays Matthew on USA Network’s Roughness, which this week aired its sophomore finale and was recently renewed for a shortened Season 3. He also has appeared on CastleBody of Proof and Revenge. Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans will remember him as the Slayer’s first serious post-Angel boyfriend.

A 5 to 6 piece Mariachi band is the ideal size needed and any instrument combination will work, however a horn player is required to be among the instruments in your band.

The band cast will be paid through an AFM (American Federation of Musicians) contract.

Tentative shoot date for scene is Monday, March 25th. Bands submitting would need to have full availability for day/night on this date and flexibility to work another date if this changes.

To submit email us at: thirdcoastextras@gmail.com w/ subject heading “Killer Women Mariachi” and include name of band, instruments in band, band contact phone number(s), photos/names of band members, & if possible, links to clips of band playing, any other info we should know about your group.
