ATTENTION fans of Raul Malo & The Mavericks who live in Austin, Texas!
Third Coast Extras casting is seeking fans of The Mavericks who dance well to their music to appear as Extras on the on ABC Network TV pilot “Killer Women” about a female Texas Ranger. They recently posted the following casting call on their Facebook Page:
We’re booking scenes shooting in Austin, Texas on TUESDAY MARCH 19TH.You’ll need a totally clear schedule for both full daytime/full nighttime to participate & have reliable transportation to get to the set (which will be in central east Austin).
After the scenes dancing to The Mavericks in the club, you will redress and then portray “guests at a Formal Gala Event” too so you’ll need both casual & formal attire to bring to set and good energy since it’ll be a long but very fun shoot.
Pay rate is $82.50. All types, looks, and ethnicities ages 18+ needed.

Men: include age, phone #, height/weight, jacket size, collar size/sleeve length, pants size (waist/inseam), and shoe size. Attach current photos- including a close photo & a full length photo.

IMPORTANT: Must be Texas resident w/ valid Texas ID who lives in (or at least nearby) to Austin, TX since shoot dates can change and call times aren’t set until night before. Please don’t submit if you’re not local. Thank you!
NOTE: We’re also seeking a dance choreographer to coordinate some dance moves to get everyone loosened up on set that day watching the band. So if you are a The Mavericks fan that is especially knowledgable about dance & can lead dance moves please mention your experience.
