Casting directors are now casting talent to work on scenes filming on December 5th through the 7th in Oklahoma City.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • African American men are needed to appear in the ABC documentary re-enactment series The 4%.  The six-part event series on ABC explores the cases of two death row inmates. It will be an emotional, in-depth examination of the merits of their cases and the details of their stories.
  • No acting experience is necessary.

About the 4%:

This six part event series on ABC explores the cases of two death row inmates. It will be an emotional, in-depth examination of the merits of their cases and the details of their stories. In the tradition of The Thin Blue Line and Serial, we will look at these cases from all angles, teasing out the truth. FOUR PERCENT will use dramatic verite, simple, elegant interviews, and curated, emotionally charged imagery to create two gripping documentaries that travel far beyond mere investigative timelines and lists of facts or evidence.

ABC News Casting Call

African American Men Needed for ABC Documentary  THE 4%
African American men are needed to appear in the ABC documentary re-enactment series The 4%.  The six-part event series on ABC explores the cases of two death row inmates. It will be an emotional, in-depth examination of the merits of their cases and the details of their stories.
No acting experience is necessary.
Filming will be one day between December 5-7 in Oklahoma City. Pay is $115 for the day.
If you have already submitted to this project, there is no need to submit again.
Auditions will be Tuesday afternoon in Norman, OK.  Auditions will be very simple and will not require acting.

BREAKDOWN OF ROLES

[GORDON]  25 to 35 years old, Black/African American male. 5’5″ – 5’7″, thin build. He is a witness to the crime. Role is non-speaking.
[MALCOM]  28 to 40 years old, Black/African American male. Dark-skinned African American. Bald. Average build. He wears glasses. Malcolm is part of the defense counsel.
TO SUBMIT TO THIS PROJECT
READ AND FOLLOW THE SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY.
Failure to follow the instructions will likely result in your submission being lost, mis-filed or accidentally deleted.
If you have an Oklahoma talent agent, please inform them of your interest in the project and they wll submit you.
– Email a current photo and all contact information to the casting office.
– Please list acting experience if any. No experience necessary.
– Include all contact information including NAME, PHONE NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS and CITY of residence.
– Include age, DOB  and height.
-Make the subject heading of your email 4% – (Name of role).  Example: 4% – MALCOLM
– SEND ALL PICTURES AND INFO IN ONE EMAIL.  DO NOT SEND MULTIPLE EMAILS.

-If you are selected to audition for the project, you will be contacted by email. Check emails regularly and allow the submissions@freihofercasting.com email address in your address book.
