ABC ‘American Crime’ Casting Call for a Juvenile Jail Scene filming in Austin, Texas
American Crime centers on a racially charged murder the subsequent trial, which are examined through the personal lives of the people involved in the crime. The case gets bigger and bigger, becoming a point of conversation in America’s views on race, class and gender politics. The series is written and executive produced by Oscar Winning Screenplay writer John Ridley.
Casting directors are looking for extras to play police officers, deputies, EMTS, and Juvenile Correciton officers in a scene filming on Wednesday, August 6th in Austin, Texas.

AUSTIN, TX Casting Notice – ABC series ‘American Crime’ for work on WEDNESDAY 8/6/14.
*MUST HAVE PROOF of TEXAS RESIDENCY such as TXDL, TXID, TEXAS COLLEGE ID, OR TX Voters registration card
Pay rate for EXTRAS is $58.00 for 8 hours ($7.25/hour with an 8 hour guarantee). Overtime will be paid after 8 hours. You will receive a check in the mail 7-10 business days AFTER you work.
We do NOT have any Call Times yet so you would need to be available ALL DAY/evening. You MUST have open/flexible availability if submitting so that you can work WHATEVER the call times ends up being. If not, please DO NOT SUBMIT!
Location is in the AUSTIN, TX area.
*EXTRAS*:
POLICE OFFICERS and DEPUTIES: male, all ethnicities, age range 20-55, military and law enforcement experience preferred (*please specify when submitting) MUST have short, neatly trimmed hair cuts and either NO facial hair or only a conservative mustache.
JUVENILE CORRECTION OFFICERS: Male, all ethnicities, age range 20-55, gun experience preferred (*please specify when submitting). MUST have short, neatly trimmed hair cuts and either NO facial hair or only a conservative mustache.
EMTs: Male, all ethnicites, medical experience a must. Preferably current or former EMTs. (Rate is $72/8)
INMATES: male, all ethnicities, age range 20-60, variety of criminal types with interesting looks, a bit rougher around the edges.
