According to Deadline, Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Yorkey will become the show’s showrunner after the first season’s executive producer, Diana Son, stepped down.

The first season of 13 Reasons Why centers around Clay Jensen as he returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers tapes recorded by Hannah Baker, his classmate, and crush, who tragically committed suicide a few weeks earlier. In the tapes, Hannah explains what led her to commit suicide citing thirteen different reasons as to why she decided to take her life.
