The movie takes place following World War II in Britain where a doctor visits a crumbling house called Hundreds Hall where his mother once worked as a nursemaid. The owners are losing the house because they can no longer afford the taxes, even though they say the home is haunted by an evil ghost of their mother's first born daughter. The doctor becomes obsessed with marrying one of the owner's daughters and bad things start to happen.

'Star Wars' Casting Director Casting Call for Speaking Roles for a Major Movie

Maybe a good time to start practicing your lines as you now may have a chance to appear in the upcoming Jurassic World 2 future film.

But, what about speaking roles? According to IMDb, Nina Gold of Nina Gold Casting is the principal speaking role casting director for the production. Nina Gold Casting is most known for casting major feature films including Game of Thrones, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Martian. 
Gold began casting while at university, studying at Christ's College, University of Cambridge. After casting the HBO series Rome, Gold was hired in 2009 by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss to cast a new HBO series, Game of Thrones, alongside Robert Sterne.
Gold has won and been nominated for several awards for Game of Thrones, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series win in 2015 and 2016 and Emmy nominations for all six seasons.
In 2014, Gold was nominated for a Casting Society of America award for her work on the film The Theory of Everything.

'Jurassic World 2' How to Audition for a Speaking Role

<h2><a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/nina-gold-casting/">Nina Gold casting</a> reveals how she discovered John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.</h2>
The audition and casting process is long, hard and extremely complicated. Especially, when it's for a multi-million dollar feature film or highly anticipated TV series. Typically, directors are looking for a specific look or a skill set for a role, but casting goes way beyond posting casting calls. It requires a certain type of eye and ability to determine if an actor has that X-factor during an audition.

Casting director, Nina Gold, has been in the film industry for over 20 years. She became the first casting director receive the prestigious BAFTA award, recognizing her career as a casting director. Over the course of a few years, Nina Gold has cast some of the biggest movies including Paddington, The Imitation Game, The Theory of Everything, andThe King’s Speech. She also cast the BBC drama series, Wolf Hall, which achieved great critical acclaim and is nominated for four TV BAFTA’s. In addition, Nina Gold is responsible for casting on Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, which made John Boyega and Daisy Ridley famous over night.

So how does she do it? Gold explains that one of the biggest problem with her job is that agents constantly want to introduce her to their talents, but she says that usually, she already knows what she's looking for.

“In Star Wars, for instance, for [Daisy Ridley and John Boyega], we certainly didn’t want people who had been in other franchises. I guess they had enough star power with Harrison Ford and the whole thing anyway. There really was this appetite for finding the most exciting person, and if they were brand new, that was only a good thing.”

“I had cast John before, when he was 18, in Attack the Block. Finding him then took months and months meeting teenagers, not even necessarily professional actors, but young kids who wanted to act and from all sorts of drama groups and other weird and wonderful ways of finding them. John actually had a job, a part in a play at London’s Tricycle Theater, and I saw him in that and it started from there. Daisy was working in a bar, but also acting. We did see gazillions of people for both roles. But her agent sent her in, and she was really good. She straight away struck a chord and seemed to have the right feel from the first moment, which is unusual.”

But, Nina Gold did more than cast and discover John Boyega and Daisy Ridley. Gold was hired to cast the actors for the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. She explains that she's proud to see the cast on the popular drama series.

“I think the young leads of Game of Thrones like Emilia [Clarke] and Kit [Harington] and Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner — and Richard Madden when he was in it. I think they’re all really wonderful. I think a lot of people in Game of Thrones in fact, those people had not really had a job before, or barely. Credit to them, rather than me, they took those parts and really developed and grew. The medium really gives them a chance to explore their character and develop their potential, and they did and they’ve really grown and shown us what they can do, which is pretty amazing.”

'Star Wars' Casting Director Reveals How She Finds New Talent

<h2>Several months ago, the Internet went crazy as Disney announced world-wide open casting call for the lead roles of&nbsp;Star Wars: The Force Awakens.&nbsp;</h2>
Aspiring actors, models, and&nbsp;Star Wars&nbsp;fans stood in front of a blank wall and read the provided script about a galaxy far far away. But, who was the mystery casting director behind&nbsp;Star Wars: The Force Awakens? And how did she know what to look for in the midst of millions of video auditions?

Well, in a new interview with&nbsp;The Independent&nbsp;casting director Nina Gold reveals her best audition tips and how she cast&nbsp;Star Wars: The Force Awakens.&nbsp;

Nina Gold is the casting director behind several major TV shows including&nbsp;Game of Thrones&nbsp;and&nbsp;The Wolf Hall.&nbsp;But, she says working on&nbsp;Star Wars&nbsp;required a ton of secrecy, &#147;because you can&#146;t even tell anybody what they might be meant to be doing&#148;.

But, the casting director pointed out that she enjoyed casting unknown actors.&nbsp;It was &#147;brilliant not having to cast someone from the same old list of names&#148;, she says: &#147;You don&#146;t want somebody who was &#145;that guy from some other franchise&#146;. You want them to entirely belong to This World.&#148;

That's why she cast John Boyega and Daisy Ridley. Saying, that George Lucas required the lead actors to not belong to another movie franchise and be relatively unknown.

'Game of Thrones' Casting Director is Now Casting Teen Actors for a New Movie

<h2><a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/the-crown/">The Crown</a> casting director <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/nina-gold-casting/">Nina Gold</a> reveals how she discovers new talent and why it's important to promote diversity in the entertainment industry.</h2>
Casting director Nina Gold is arguably one of the biggest casting directors in the movie business. She has received five Emmy Awards for casting, and her career spans across 40 years. Gold has worked on a wide-range of productions, including movies, TV shows, and indie small-budget projects. In a recent interview with <a href="https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2020/08/9962154/netflix-the-crown-characters-casting-director-nina-gold">Refinery 29</a> about her work on The Crown, Nina Gold talked about how she finds new talent. What she sees as the job responsibility is for a casting director to promote diversity.
Gold says that before the pandemic, she discovered new talent by seeking new faces. She explains she would go to the theater, visit drama schools, and attend drama student showcases. Also, she would watch a lot of TV.
Since the 90s, she points to one advantage; she has access to know that she did not have at the start of her career, which is the internet. She says, “You have a lot more information about people at your fingertips and can look stuff up. Like, who’s that person in that thing, and what was their name?”
There is one challenge to casting that never gets easier, and that is letting talent know they did not get the role. Nina Gold explains, “We have to disappoint. Ultimately, you can only cast one person, and there are so many good people out there who could get the part. And they don’t get the part not because they’re not good, but because they weren’t exactly the right fit. It’s quite hard.”
Ultimately, Gold is asked about diversity in the entertainment industry. She points to her decision to cast John Boyega in the Star Wars trilogy.
“Helping to create a pipeline of future stars is an area in which a casting director can play a role in helping to correct exclusion. Understanding that for someone to be prepared for major leading roles involves having gotten experience with smaller roles along the way, CDs can play an active role in helping to build BIPOC actors’ careers by identifying and supporting them from the start of their careers and ushering them into the biggest roles once they are ready. For example, I met John Boyega when he was a teenager and cast him in a smaller film, Attack the Block, in which he was brilliant, and that started to pave the way for him to take on a starring role in a huge franchise, and the rest is history. I do believe, however, that the way to correct inclusion starts with the voices and stories that are being heard and told and commissioned to do so. We need to address this in the industry as a whole.”

[&#8230;] ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ is Now Casting New Speaking Roles [&#8230;]

<h2 class="p1"><a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/star-wars-episode-ix/">Star Wars: Episode IX </a>is now casting a new character for the upcoming feature film.</h2>
A new casting call for Star Wars: Episode IX suggests a new character named &#147;Caro&#148; is going the Star Wars Universe. According to a report from That Hashtag Show, Nina Gold is looking for a young woman to play the leading role
The casting notice describes Caro as "captivating naturalness and ease to her manner," and calls her a"leader and problem solver, smart with a great sense of humor and a strong will. All this comes to her effortlessly."
Details as to how to apply were not released. According to <a href="https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002274/">IMDB</a>, <a href="http://www.thecdg.co.uk/members/nina/">Nina Gold of Nina Gold Casting</a> is the casting director for this upcoming movie. She has worked on several major TV shows and movies including Game of Thrones, The Danish Girl, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, according to the Casting Director&#146;s Guild.

Star Wars: Episode IX&nbsp;will be directed by&nbsp;JJ Abrams&nbsp;and based on a script from Abrams and&nbsp;Chris Terrio. It is expected in theaters December 20, 2019. Filming on Episode IX aka&nbsp;Black Diamond&nbsp;is expected to begin by late&nbsp;July&nbsp;at Pinewood Studios UK.
It&#146;s set for release on&nbsp;December 22nd, 2019.

'Star Wars: Episode IX' is Now Casting New Speaking Roles

<h1 class="headline">Casting director <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/nina-gold-casting/">Nina Gold</a> says she loves discovering "unknown actors".</h1>
Nina Gold is a three-time Emmy Award-winning casting director. Two of those Emmy Awards have come from casting <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/game-of-thrones/">Game of Thrones</a>, while Gold has also had success casting movies like <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/star-wars/">Star Wars: The Force Awakens</a>, The Martian, and The King’s Speech. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Gold speaks about the art of casting and she also reveals two of her biggest success stories.
Gold points out that her job is all about taking risks on new talent. But, when it pays off it is an amazing feeling. She says, “I love discovering unknown actors. It’s very exciting, although it can be risky. You can’t predict if the person you think is going to be great really will be. But doesn’t it get boring if you always play it safe and use the same old names? Personally, I’m not interested in casting the most perfectly beautiful woman or someone who ticks all the boxes of what a person is ‘supposed’ to look like. I’m much more interested in character before beauty and an interesting charisma that’s not based on looks. More often than not, the risk pays off. I have to say, it’s a pretty good feeling to go to the cinema and watch a film that I’ve cast. I cry a lot!”

Gold gives an example of how she discovered a talent and has continued to nurture the actor.  She explains, “Of course there are exceptions, but casting directors are almost always women. I suppose it’s because it’s such an egoless, nurturing role. I meet actors and it’s my job to help develop their talent. Maisie Williams was only 11 when we cast her as Arya Stark in Game Of Thrones. I had to take into consideration that the show could go on for years. But she’s incredibly resilient and has a strong sense of self so she hasn’t been swayed by all the fame. Ultimately, it comes down to intuition and trusting your instinct.”
When it comes to successful actors, Gold points out how many people don’t realize how hard they had to work to get there and in the case of casting directors, all those that supported those actors. She says, “When an actor wins a major award, people don’t want to think about the long process that he or she has gone through to get there. They like to think it’s down to divine inspiration or a God-given right. In reality, there may have been hundreds of auditions beforehand, or the part may have been offered to five other actors first. Congratulating casting at that point shatters the illusion. There is still a lot to be done in terms of recognition, but we’re working on it.”

Gold says one of her biggest success stories were casting the relatively unknown Daisy Ridley in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She recalls, “I remember when Daisy first walked through the door. She’d taken the precaution of wearing her hair in two buns on either side of her head like Princess Leia. We fell in love with her straight away. We’d seen hundreds of thousands of people, but she was totally perfect, and we couldn’t get her out of our heads. It was her energy, she just had something. We then realized that we’d auditioned her on the feisty parts, but could she do the deep, troubled emotions? We asked her to perform the moment when Kylo Ren is trying to get the thoughts out of her mind and she had me crying my eyes out. It was the perfect fit.”

Nina Gold is currently casting for a vital and gripping new 6 x 1-hour adaptation by multi-award-winning Andrew Davies of the Victor Hugo classic novel LES MISERABLES - one of the greatest works in Western literature which depicts the hero Jean' Valjean's primal struggle with society, examines the nature of law and grace and gives a voice and story to those who usually fall between the cracks.

They are looking to assemble a diverse, vibrant, whip-smart group of world-class actors to play the visceral and iconic characters who populate this extraordinarily timely story. All six episodes are to be directed by the superb Tom Shankland.

This is a Lookout Point/BBC Studios production for the BBC, co-produced with The Weinstein Company.

When: Production dates (eg. shoot, rehearsals) dates are 22nd January to 24th June 2018 (with a hiatus from 26th March to 8th April)

Character profile: Eponine (Female). Aged 17 - 21. Non - Caucasian.

We are looking for a totally mesmerising working-class actress full of fire and life for this leading part. She needs to be a hugely charismatic, street-wise, super-smart young star-in the-making. It is important that she is achingly thin - the girl cannot afford to eat for days at a time. One of three heroines of the piece, we chart her life from a spoilt childhood through to surviving threadbare on her wits on the streets of Paris and to her final death in the arms of the young student she has always loved but who has never loved her in return.

A better acting opportunity for a clever young actress would be hard to find. We are keen to explore non-Caucasian actors for this part.
