This is because of persisting supply chain turmoil and a record year for movie-making following the pandemic, which has added even more pressure on them.
The cost of materials has been skyrocketing since relying on more than just steel and lumber for projects. And it's not only movie sets that are being affected: this is happening all over Hollywood. One executive even told &lsquo;The Hollywood Reporter,&rsquo; that he estimates the increases can be as high as 30%.
The construction cost has rocketed in recent years, with the prices for materials going sky high. This is especially true when it comes to fuel and equipment like lights or sound systems that are essential not just on set but also off-site during filming; significant film companies often donate them according to their needs (which means you may have seen them at your local theater soon after seeing this message)!
With the price of gas at an all-time high, production executives now have to consider ways to reduce costs. Not only does this strain supply, but shipping costs are also higher because you're sending something over long distances instead of using local transportation hubs where the product could go straight through without ever leaving your yard. 
Studios are also beginning to rely more heavily on tax incentives, which can save productions up to 15-40% of their costs. This is compelling enough that some moviemakers will shoot anywhere there are generous credits and less risk involved in production--like Georgia or New Mexico.
While it is unfortunate that inflation has hit our economy at large, the race to build sets for content studios has become even more competitive. The deal comes amidst a considerable drop in Netflix subscribers, triggering stock liquidation and layoffs. Increasing subscription prices coupled with a lack of interesting content are seen as the reasons for the subscribers&rsquo; mass exodus. It is hoped that films such as &lsquo;Pain Hustlers&rsquo; will help the company win back, if not gain, new subscribers.
"Pain Hustlers" is a film about Liza Drake (Blunt), a high school drop-out who lands a job at a struggling pharmaceutical start-up. Through Liza&rsquo;s determination and charm, she manages to turn things around for the company and herself but is soon embroiled in a deadly criminal conspiracy. The film is set in Russia in the late &lsquo;90s and follows a group of men known as the Tiger Team who protect endangered tigers from poachers.&nbsp; Vanzin (Skarsgard), the Team&rsquo;s leader, is tested when he is charged with hunting down and exterminating a tiger that killed a poacher in self-defense.&nbsp;
The project is being produced by Darren Ornofsky, better known for directing cult classics such as &ldquo;Pi&rsquo;, &lsquo;Requiem for a Dream, and &lsquo;Black Swan&nbsp; .&rsquo;The acclaimed writer, director, and producer are thrilled to work with Slaboshpytskyi, whom he considers a brilliant auteur.
Alexander Skarsg&aring;rd has recently starred in Robert Egger&rsquo;s critically acclaimed movie &lsquo;The Northman&rsquo; opposite Nicole Kidman.&nbsp; The actor was first noticed in 2008 for his role in the HBO series &lsquo;Generation Kill&rsquo; as US marine Brad Colbert and as Eric Northman in the &ldquo;True Blood&rsquo; series.&nbsp; His big-screen appearance in Lars von Trier&rsquo;s &lsquo;Melancholia&rsquo; earned him favorable reviews.&nbsp; He then went on to star in movies such as &lsquo;Battleship&rsquo; and &lsquo;The Legend of Tarzan&rsquo; before landing a role as an abusive husband in the drama series &lsquo;Big Little Lies&rsquo; which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Critic&rsquo;s Choice Television Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

A Deadline exclusive reports that the film &ldquo;Berlin Nobody&rdquo; will showcase the acting talents of Eric Bana (Munich) and Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina). The latest movie from Ridley Scott will be launched in the virtual EFM in August.&nbsp;
The new movie will begin filming in September and follow American social psychologist Ben Monroe (Bana). He is investigating a local cult connected with an event that has been traumatic for him. His rebellious teenage daughter Mazzy gets involved when she meets someone from the fascinating city of Berlin, and they introduce her to the party scene, which leads them both towards danger.
It would be exciting to see Bana again in another collaboration with Ridley Scott since they worked together on Black Hawk Down. Most recently, he starred in &lsquo;The Dry&rsquo; and the series &lsquo;Dirty John,&rsquo; both globally recognized.

But did you know this was the 60th anniversary for Godzilla? The original movie was released in 1954.
There are a lot of little things you may have missed while watching the movie or happened behind the scenes. But, here are ten things you probably did not know about the latest Godzilla Movie.

Godzilla's appearance was covered with scars. This feature was actually taken from the original Godzilla movie that featured Godzilla with keloid scars. In the 1950's version, the use of scars was to remind the audience of the survivors of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, that left thousands of people scarred. This was to also enhance the concept behind Godzilla as a monster damaged by nuclear weapons.

It was important that this felt like a Toho Godzilla."</div>

10 Things You Did Not Know About the "Godzilla" Movie

<h2>Godzilla dominated the box office this weekend with reports that this is one of the biggest movie of 2014.</h2>
The Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures reboot made a whopping $93 million dollars in the United States and an additional $10 million internationally for a total of $103 million in first weekend sales.

Godzilla's debut made more money than Marvel's&nbsp;The Amazing Spiderman 2&nbsp;and topped the previous disaster movies, World War Z and Pacific Rim. But, it was $2 million dollars short from topping Captain America: The Winter Soldier.&nbsp;

After making $103 Million dollars internationally in the opening weekend, it looks as Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are already in development for a <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/news/a-godzilla-sequel-is-coming-soon/" target="_blank">sequel</a>.

Many people argued that the movie was so successful because the movie's trailer was so misleading. The trailer framed the movie in one direction but, the actual movie itself was something completely different.

Coming off last Summer's disappointingPacific Rim, Warner Bros. opted to pitch&nbsp;Godzilla&nbsp;first-and-foremost as a disaster movie (instead of a monster movie). Advertisements hid the title character—and avoided even mentioning the other monsters—and instead put an emphasis on the human impact of large-scale destruction. Much of this was hung on&nbsp;<a href="http://www.boxofficemojo.com/people/chart/?id=bryancranston.htm">Bryan Cranston</a>'s character, who was positioned as the movie's focal point; while that was very misleading, it was also highly effective. The Atlanta filmed production, Million Dollar Arm didn't reach expectations in the box-office despite receiving high reviews. Million Dollar Arm earned $10.5 million, last weekend falling short in comparison to previous baseball movies&nbsp;Trouble with the Curve&nbsp;($12.2 million) and&nbsp;Moneyball&nbsp;($19.5 million). People may just not be interested in baseball movies.

How Godzilla Dominated the Box Office

<h2>It's official Warner Bros. is in discussion for developing a Godzilla sequel.</h2>
After making $103 Million dollars internationally in the opening weekend, it looks as Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are already in development for a sequel.

Godzilla was directed by Gareth Edwards, a British director who has beaten all of his Godzilla predecessors. The 1998 Godzilla movie starring Matthew Broderick made a modest $44m for it's opening weekend and finished with a total of $379 million. But, according to reports, the latest Godzilla feature will double what the 1998 version accomplished.
<blockquote>Edwards has talked about what he would do with a sequel, saying he would use the same kind of restraint that he did for this one. He learned well from watching Spielberg films as the monster was only talked about for the first part of this film. And, of course, there were those reaction shots that added to the suspense (<a href="http://www.deadline.com/2014/05/godzilla-2-sequel-warner-bros-legendary-gareth-edwards/" target="_blank">Deadline</a>).</blockquote>
But, not only was the movie well developed Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures went above and beyond to develop a marketing strategy that will reach a wide audience. From the commercials to the movie posters, Godzilla was everywhere.

A 'Godzilla' Sequel is Coming Soon

<h2>Marvel just debuted the first official trailer for 'Gaurdians of the Galaxy'.</h2>
The upcoming sci-fi adventure features Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, John C. Reilly and the voice of Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon. The James Gunn film looks like a hilarious adventure of one of Marvel's funniest groups.

This is Marvels second of two 2014 releases. The other production is "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" set to premiere in April while 'Guardians of the Galaxy' will grace theaters on August 1st.

<h2>Godzilla vs Kong may film in Atlanta, GEorgia.</h2>
Several months ago, <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/millie-bobby-brown/">Millie Bobby Brown</a>’s <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/godzilla/">Godzilla </a>wrapped production in <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/atlanta/">Atlanta</a>, Georgia. Now, according to reports, Godzilla vs. Kong maybe headed back to the ATL.
Legendary Pictures is reportedly going to shoot a bulk of their footage for Godzilla vs. Kong in Atlanta. The upcoming Godzilla film was shot in Atlanta and Mexico City and it seems that the studio enjoyed what the Atlanta production facilities have to offer. In addition, there is a rumor that characters from Godzilla 2 will be returning for the upcoming crossover.
Atlanta is a huge production space but with so many TV shows and movies filming in the city, many studios are competing for stages to film their productions.
Godzilla was shot primarily in Vancouver (along with Hawaii and Las Vegas) while Kong: Skull Island filmed in Vietnam, Hawaii, and Gold Coast, Australia.
That said, it begs the question - when will filming start?
Well, it has not been announced when production will begin. But, the studio has set a release for May 22, 2020, which could give them time for reshoots and visual effects.

RUMOR: ‘Godzilla vs Kong' To Film in Atlanta

A brand new Godzilla movie is reportedly in pre-production in Atlanta, Georgia. But, what about the actors that first starred in the original Godzilla movie?

According to a Hollywood Reporter report, the actors inside the Godzilla costumes didn't have it that easy. This is before all of the monster CGI graphics we have today, this actually took bringing the character to live, which is an enormous challenge for any actor inside a rubber suit.

Haruo Nakajima, the original suit actor to portray Godzilla in 1954’s Gojira, explained in a recent interview how he got into character.

“My biggest influence came from bears,” Nakajima explained. “The way bears move is very interesting.”

Nakajima also explained what it was like destroying a set that cost 500,000 yen, which was twice his salary for the film. “The set took the crew 23 hours to build [and] I ruined it in 10 minutes.”

But, the hardest part of playing Godzilla is wearing the suit.
<blockquote>“You can’t breathe well inside the suit, so an oxygen tube is attached,” Kitigawa explained. “But it’s removed during takes. Sometimes I started suffocating and had to stop filming.”

“The original suit weighed 100 kilos (220 lbs.),” said Nakajima. “With all that weight, I couldn’t move much.”</blockquote>
Nakajima also explained he had to work in freezing temperatures and he explained it was like taking an "ice bath" all day long. Or, the time he was forced underwater by a crane.
<blockquote>“I was standing by. The oxygen tube was attached, the crane started to move. As I went down the tube came off,” Kitigawa said. “I screamed, ‘Stop! I can’t breathe!’ But they kept pushing me into the water. Because of the danger, those shots were stopped. I never want to do that again.”</blockquote>

'Godzilla' Actors Reveal What It is Like Wearing the Suit: "We Risked Our Lives"

<h2>A new <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/king-kong/" target="_blank">King Kong</a> vs. <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/godzilla/" target="_blank">Godzilla</a> movie is being planned as Kong: Skull Island movie rights are moved from <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/universal/" target="_blank">Universal</a> to <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/tag/warner-bros/" target="_blank">Warner Bros.</a></h2>
Major headlines are circulating around the Internet today as <a href="http://deadline.com/2015/09/king-kong-godzilla-legendary-monster-movie-warner-bros-1201521004/" target="_blank">Deadline</a> reports that Legendary's upcoming Kong: Skull Island has moved from Universal to Warner Bros. According to reports, that's because Legendary is focused on developing a new King Kong vs. Godzilla movie and are currently making efforts to keep the monster monkey and lizard together under the same distributor. Skull Island will still be released by March 10, 2017 with a sequel to Garth Edwards' Godzilla planned for June 8, 2018. After that, the two gargantuan monsters will square off in an untitled King Kong vs. Godzilla movie.

This is not the first time the lizard and monkey have fought on the big screen. In 1962, King Kong vs. Godzilla was the third Godzilla movie ever created. In that movie, the size of the monsters was adjusted to even the odds, however, many critics argued that Godzilla is much larger than King Kong.

Kong: Skull Island is being directed by&nbsp;The Kings of Summer's&nbsp;Jordan Vogt-Roberts from a script developed by John Gatins and Max Borenstein.&nbsp;Kong: Skull Island&nbsp;will explore the home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers venture deep inside the island. Legendary's story follows the foundation of the existing King Kong mythology, but places it in a new timeline. Previously, Simmons revealed a surprise setting for the movie, saying it would take place in Detroit in 1971. However, given the title of the movie, it is probably going to take place on Skull Island, not the hard streets of D-Town, Michigan.

The&nbsp;Godzilla sequel, is being written by Max Borenstein and will feature the return of Edwards as the movie's director. It has been hinted that we will se other famous characters including Kaiju, Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah, although these characters have not been fully confirmed so far.

<h2>Recent study shows Hispanic women are this summer's most avid moviegoers.</h2>
<a href="http://www.thewrap.com/hispanic-women-are-this-summers-most-avid-moviegoers-exclusive-study/" target="_blank">TheWrap</a> recently conducted a study to determine which group of people are going to the movies the most and to the surprise of many, the largest demographic is not men our teenagers but, Hispanic women over the age of 25.

Its data indicates that Hispanic women over the age of 25 are the most frequent moviegoers of all. Hispanic women often attend movies with their families, but they buy tickets for everything from “The Fault in Our Stars” and “Maleficent” to “X-Men,” “Godzilla” and “Neighbors.” At least 20 percent of Hispanic women professed to have seen all of the major movies, and the numbers were higher among people over the age of 25 for every movie but “The Fault in Our Stars.” [<a href="http://www.thewrap.com/hispanic-women-are-this-summers-most-avid-moviegoers-exclusive-study/" target="_blank">via</a>]

Hispanic women are more likely to see all of the major motion pictures including "Godzilla", "X-Men" and even "Maleficent". But, non-Hispanic women are a different story.

But, what is interesting to note is that Hispanics are attracted to superhero movies. Researchers argued that, "Hispanics identify as both American and Hispanic, just as most superheroes identify as both humans, and, well, superheroes." Essentially, a superhero culturally universal. That all cultures can relate the storyline of a superhero. While, movies such as"The Fault in Our Stars" which was not avidly seen by Hispanic audiences, do not connect to Hispanics as much. 

But what does this mean for Hollywood? Why should Hollywood care which demographic goes to see what movie? In one word, money. According to the study, a large majoriy of Hispanic women go to the movies with their family which means that they are buying more than one ticket. For everyone movie that is targeted to a Hispanic women, Hollywood is selling at least two tickets.

At the end of the day expect Hollywood studios to cater more movies to the Hispanic community.

<h2>Chronicle's Josh Trank will direct a Stand-Alone Star Wars Movie</h2>
While J. J. Abrams is working on Star Wars: Episode VII, a whole new trilogy of Star Wars films set three decades after the Empire and Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi, two other spin-off movies are also in the works.

The 30-year old director Josh Trank has been on fire ever since Chronicle. Trank has been mentioned in several sci-fi production ever since Chronicle. Now, in addition to his Fantastic Four reboot for FOX, Disney has announced that he will be directing one of the stand-alone&nbsp;Star Wars&nbsp;movies.

Josh Trank will join Godzilla filmmaker Gareth Edwards in directing the Star Wars spin-off movies.

Josh Trank will be busy in the&nbsp;future taking a new version of&nbsp;The Fantastic Four,&nbsp;starring&nbsp;Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan,&nbsp;Kate Mara,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Jamie Bell. The Fantastic Four&nbsp;film hits theaters&nbsp;June 19th, 2015, and it seems unlikely Trank will be around for a sequel. His work on the&nbsp;next&nbsp;Star Wars&nbsp;spin-off&nbsp;would most likely begin right away, although no release date has been set.
