So, we're building out the world, and when that fifth movie comes, it will be organically grown out of how we're starting to tell those stories. But you can rely on a regular cadence of John Wick."

TikTok is currently testing six new in-app mini-games as part of a giant gaming experiment that started a few weeks ago.
According to a TechCrunch report, TikTok is working on a pilot with game developers such as Vodoo, Nitro Games, FRVR, Aim Lab, and Lotem.

TikTok mini-games are sometimes discovered by creators when uploading a video to the site. The ability to attach a video to a mini-game is listed next to the hashtag, tagging a place, and writing a video description on the same screen where users may link their videos.
"We're always looking at ways to enrich our platform and regularly test new features and integrations that bring value to our community," a TikTok spokesperson told TechCrunch.
"Currently, we're exploring bringing HTML5 games to TikTok through integrations with third-party game developers and studios."
If a creator uploads material with a link to one of TikTok's games, the link will be displayed as a floating anchor over their username.
Basketball FRVR, Space Destroyer, and Mr. Aim Lab's Nightmare are among the game applications.

A Denver, Colorado area video game company is casting Asian men, for a unique opportunity in anunannounced story-driven video game project.
The client is focused on narrative adventure video games with 20 years experience in the game industry. Their most recent project won multiple awards and was nominated for a BAFTA.
We are seeking actors as well as every-day people to fill this role. Our “full performance” technology allows us to simultaneously capture a performer's entire nuanced performance including body, face and voice, and use it to bring the digital video game characters to life. Your likeness will not be used in the final game, only your physical performance and your voice.

For interested actors: You have strong physical instincts including the range and control of a theater performance, with the subtlety and nuance of film performance. Ability to find emotional truth in every line of dialog, motivation in every movement, and deliver natural, believable voice over.

For interested every-day people: You may not have any acting experience, and that’s okay. However, you should be confident and in touch with who you are, and self-aware of how you feel. You readily know what gets you excited, what makes you scared, and what makes you angry. You are comfortable with engaging with others and expressing a range of emotions. Other than that, it’s all about “being yourself” under imaginary circumstances.

Production: This role will shoot approximately 2-3 days in the Denver, CO area. Scheduled based on actor availability, in early 2020. If cast from out-of-state, you will be provided travel, food, and lodging.

Character Description: Lee is a 1st generation Chinese immigrant with an accent that is readily noticeable. Lee was born into poverty in Guangzhou, China. His family could never escape poverty, so at the age of 17 he traveled to the United States. Although he worked job to job and never rose above the pay rate of a cook, he found love, married, and had two kids. He loved his family, but fatherhood did not come easy to Lee. He did his best, escaping the chaos of his home life through gambling and alcohol. When his beloved wife became suddenly ill, he directed his anger at his kids; emotionally, and in some cases physically. Her death destroyed what few redeeming qualities he possessed, causing him to abandon his kids to the foster care system.

Lee is carving a pair of figurines out of wood for his children. They sit on the carpet watching daytime television at his feet. Lee's daughter, Allie, asks about the figurine that he has carved for her. This is Lee being the best version of himself.
LEE: This? Good, yes? She's a superhero. Someone strong and fast and very pretty. She can jump so high, she can leap over the mountains and touch the clouds. Then she carries the clouds home, and puts them on her ice cream. She is just like you.
2.
Lee sits at the dinner table with his two young children Marcus (12) and Allie (7). They eat in silence, avoiding eye contact. Lee lost at the track earlier that day and needs to go out of town to get a loan.
LEE: Listen. I'm going away for a few days. Marcus, keep an eye on your sister, okay? (no response) I said okay. Good. No trouble when I'm gone, understand? If you need anything, call Mr. Jones next door. Keep the house clean, too. Okay. Allie, finish your vegetables.
3.
Lee has found a carton of cigarettes in his son Marcus' backpack. The two stare each other down in Marcus' bedroom.
LEE: What is this? What the hell is this? You know better, Marcus. The next time you decide to bring cigarettes into this house, you're out. You're done.
4.
Lee sits at a dingy bar, deep in a glass of cheap whiskey. He just lost most of his savings at the track. He catches the eye of another patron slouched next to him.
LEE: It's all bullshit, isn't it? The whole thing. No matter how hard you work, no matter what you do, you can lose it all in a day. An hour, even. But they don't know. They keep your money when I have kids to feed. What do they expect me to do, huh? Are you listening, mister? Huh? Hmph. It's all bullshit.

5.
Lee is putting his children to bed. He turns out the light to their room and makes a move to close the door. Before he does, his son, Marcus, asks about their mother. Lee pauses in the doorway.
LEE: Your mother? She was a very good person. Let's not speak of it anymore.
6.
Lee has left his home, and his children, and is interviewing with a fishing captain about work. The captain has asked Lee to describe himself.
LEE: I work hard. Very hard. I know what it's like to be hungry, so I work harder. You hire me, you won't regret it.
7.
The boat that Lee works on begins to sink. The crew abandons ship and huddles in a life raft. As the storm rages, their odds of survival look grim. They ask about each other's families while they wait for the inevitable. They turn to Lee and ask if he has any children. He pauses, and then:
LEE: No.

Gaming Company is Now Hiring Actors for Upcoming Video Game (Pay is $1,000/Day)

It is clear that Georgia's film industry is on fire, <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/news/5-georgia-studios-form-alliance-help-boost-georgias-film-industry">alliances have been built</a>, <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/news/pinewood-studios-deal-will-help-fund-major-expansions">studios are continuing</a> to expand, and <a href="https://www.projectcasting.com/blog/tips-and-advice/atlanta-actor">A-list stars are hanging out in Atlanta</a>, Georgia. Now, Georgia representatives are considering expanding tax credits to help boost the state's video game industry. That's right, entertainment companies that develop films and video games and complete postproduction work in Georgia could be eligible for tax credits under legislation that the Georgia House of Representatives past earlier this month.

According to the AJC, House Bill 199 is called the Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act and would offer 20% tax credit to companies making film, video, or digital work in the state that promotes the Georgia logo and edits those productions in the state.

Georgia's film industry is ranked 3rd in the United States just behind California and New York. Film production companies that choose to film in Georgia earn up to 30% tax credits of what they spend if they meet certain standards.

New Georgia Tax Credits May Support Video Game Industry

<h2>'Madden 15' predicted the exact score of the Super Bowl.</h2>
This may have been great Super Bowl for fans of the Patriots and Katy Perry, but between horrific injuries and bad play calling, the developers of Madden 15 were really celebrating.
<blockquote>Every year, the folks at EA Sports rig a game of Madden to predict the Super Bowl. They’re usually right—they’ve nailed something like eight of the last 11 winners. [<a href="http://kotaku.com/madden-15-predicted-the-exact-score-of-the-super-bowl-1683159462" target="_blank">Kotaku</a>]</blockquote>
The Madden sim predicted Tom Brady would win Super Bowl MVP (which he did), passing for 335 yards and 4 touchdowns. Brady finished the game with 328 yards and 4 touchdowns. The simulation missed by only seven yards.

As for that game-winner, the Madden sim also predicted New England would trail 24-14 in the third quarter before staging a comeback, capped by a game-winning touchdown pass to wide receiver Julian Edelman. Yep, Madden nailed that one, too.

The simulation had Edelman finish as the Patriots' top receiver, with eight catches for 106 yards. Edelman ended the Super Bowl with nine catches for 109 yards.

Video Game Open Casting Call in London, England

<h2>The 'Umbrella Academy' Creator is turning the popular action RPG 'Horizon Zero Dawn' into a TV series.</h2>
Aloy, the video game's protagonist, stars in this film.
Steven Blackman, the creator of Umbrella Academy, is already working on a new project. Blackman will adapt the action RPG Horizon Zero Dawn for Netflix into a series.
Horizon Zero Dawn, released in 2017 from Guerilla Games and Sony, follows Aloy, a hunter trying to uncover her history on a planet overtaken by machine beasts.

Aloy will be a primary protagonist in the adaptation, according to Blackman. He'll collaborate with Michelle Lovretta on turning the IP into a full-fledged series, along with his writing partner.
Horizon Zero Dawn is an exceptionally well-crafted game with excellent, original characters not often seen in the gaming world." Blackman told Netflix's <a href="https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/umbrella-academy-season-4-renewed-steve-blackman">Tudum</a>. "Guerrilla Games has created an incredibly lush and vivid world of man and machine who find themselves on a collision course to oblivion."
"Their salvation comes in the form of a young female warrior named Aloy, who has no idea she's the key to saving the world," he continued. "Suffice it to say, yes, Aloy will be the main character in our story."
The announcement leaves fans wondering if the show will offer a look into how machines came to take over the world or answer other questions introduced in the video game.
Blackman is also working on an International Space Station-based Orbital series with the Horizon Zero Dawn adaptation.

Netflix's 'The Umbrella Academy' Creator is Turning RPG 'Horizon Zero Dawn' into a TV Series

Gamers in the United States spent less money in Q2 2022 than they did a year before.
According to The Verge, global video game spending fell by $1.78 billion in the second quarter of 2018, with overall expenditure declining to $12.35 billion &mdash; a decline of 13% year over year. Microsoft and Sony's revenue reports revealed a drop in sales; Xbox console sales dropped 11% compared to the previous year.

According to a Financial Times report, Sony's game software sales fell 26 percent year over year in Q1 2020 due to the lack of major PlayStation titles released in 2022 and changes in consumer gaming habits, among other factors. Meanwhile, Nintendo is expected to reveal its first-quarter earnings this week. However, following a previous prediction that it would sell just 21 million Nintendo Switch consoles during the entire year, the company announced in July that it expects to sell only 21 million units.
