In case you are wondering, the last seven
Fast & Furious movies were set in Los Angeles, Miami, Tokyo, Panama, Brazil, London, and Los Angeles again, so apparently the next stop for the
Fast & Furious franchise is New York City.
During an appearance on
The Tonight Show, series star Vin Diesel revealed that the next movie, which is going to be directed by the director of
Straight Outta Compton F. Gary Gray, will take place in New York City.

Apparently, producers are trying to take the
Fast & Furious franchise back to its roots. The first
Fast & Furious was based on
a 1998 Vibe Magazine article about Manhattan street racers. So it seems like the most logical step would be to take the
Fast & Furious franchise back to New York City.
