11 New Movies To Approved Film in Los Angeles

The California Film Commission has announced the 11 movies approved to film in Los Angeles, California.

The California Film Commission has selected eight studio films and three indie projects to receive $55 million in tax credits under their new expanded program.

According to reports, New Line Cinema’s ‘Conjuring 2’ will film in California. ‘Conjuring 2’ is a sequel to the 2013 horror hit movie. In addition, three indie movies were selected including ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul,’ ‘Code Name Veil,’ and David Lynch’s ‘Twin Peaks’. Disney also received a large number of tax incentives but, the tax credits will not be given until the movies are completed.

  1. ‘Overnight’ ($11.6 million)
  2. Whale (6.8 million)
  3. Conjuring 2 (5.6 million)
  4. Why Him (5.4 million)
  5. CHIPS (5.1 million)
  6. Avon Man ($4.9 million)
  7. Action Park ($4.6 million)
  8. The God Particle ($3.9 million)
  9. Twin Peaks ($2.5 million)
  10. Chicken Soup ($2.5 million)
  11. Code Name Veil ($1.9 million)
