    • NOTE: If the actor can play the piano, that’s a plus.
  • EVERETT “”EJ”” – he/him, 18+ to play 16, Black. Witty. High energy. Good sense of humor. In need of guidance and a new home. Dwayne’s nephew.
  • TJ – he/him, mid 30’s to early 40’s, Black. A long-time dealer who is “about that life”. Everett’s father. Struggles with teaching his son how to be a man, but unsure if Cordell and Dwayne can be good father figures to his son.”

Supported by his beau Dwayne, and their culinary clique the New Wing Order which includes friends Isom and Big Charles, Cordell is marinating, and firing up the frying pan in a bid to claim the hot wing king crown. But when a family incident forces Dwayne to take in his nephew Everett, the weekend gets side-tracked, as the newly legitimized couple comes to terms with a new definition of family.

Self- Tape Audition Tips

Self-taping your auditions can be a great way to get more experience in front of the camera and to put your best foot forward for every role you audition for. But self-taping can be a bit daunting if this is your first time doing it.

Here are some tips to help you make the most of your self-taped auditions:

  1. Make sure you have all the necessary materials. It includes a good-quality camera, tripod, lighting, and sound equipment. If you still need to get all these things, invest in them or borrow from a friend before you start self-taping.
  2. Choose a quiet location with good lighting. You want to ensure your self-tape is straightforward, so avoid filming in low light or a place with a lot of background noise.
  3. Practice your lines ahead of time. It will help you feel more confident and polish your audition tape.
  4. Dress the part. Whether you’re wearing a costume or not, it’s essential to dress for the role you’re auditioning for. It will help you get into character and give the casting director a better sense of who you are as an actor.
  5. Be natural and relaxed. The best self-taped auditions are those that feel natural and relaxed. So take a deep breath, relax your body, and just be yourself!
