Casting directors are now casting actors to work on scenes filming in Austin, Texas, on September 4 or 5, 2022.
Casting: Real families are preferred with some outdoor experience and/or an interest in outdoor state park activities.
- Be willing to participate in chill, low-intensity outdoor activities such as nature walk, shallow water swimming, being around and in a river or lake, fishing, outdoor cookout/picnic, etc.
- Must be willing to travel to a state park within about an hour of Austin (Inks Lake State Park in Burnet, TX & Palmetto State Park in Gonzales, TX)

**BROCK ALLEN CASTING SEEKING REAL FAMILIES FOR TEXAS STATE PARKS PSA**

SPECS:
FAMILY 1: MULTIGENERATIONAL LATINX FAMILY
Real LatinX families are preferred. Ideally, looking for AGE RANGE: 5-13 (KIDS), 30-40 (PARENTS), 30-40 (AUNT OR UNCLE), 60+ (GRANDPARENTS), but open to all family pairings/arrangements.
FAMILY 2: NUCLEAR AFRICAN-AMERICAN FAMILY
Real African-American families preferred. Ideally, looking for AGE RANGE: 8-13 (KIDS), 30-50 (PARENTS)
SHOOT DATE:
TUES 10/4 OR WED 10/5
**YOU WILL ONLY BE NEEDED FOR ONE DATE; TBD WHICH DATE**
**FLEXIBILITY NEEDED AROUND THESE DATES IN CASE OF RAIN**
RATE:
$1,500 per person
(+15% agency fees if you are represented by talent agency)
TERM/USAGE:
In perp / full buy-out; stills and media
TRAVEL:
$300 travel stipend per family for DFW/Houston talent
Mileage reimbursement for Austin/SA local talent
Vaccination not required, but at-home rapid test will be required before shoot date

Commercial Acting Tips
Commercial acting can be tricky- you have minimal time to capture the viewer’s attention and deliver a message. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your commercial acting gig:
- Make sure you understand the product or service that is being advertised. If you don’t know what you’re selling, it will be challenging to sell it to someone else.
- Be enthusiastic! Even if the product isn’t something you would typically use, pretend like it’s the best thing in the world- after all, that’s what you’re being paid to do.
- Be natural. The more relaxed and comfortable you look, your performance will be more believable.
- Remember that less is more. Don’t try too much- sometimes, the most straightforward delivery can be the most effective.
- Have fun! Commercials are supposed to be entertaining, so it will show if you’re not enjoying yourself. Smile and enjoy the ride!
