CREW/CAST CALL: A drama short film project is seeking cast & crew for a two-day late spring early summer shoot in Houston. Synopsis : A six year old boy, Ian, attracts the wrong attention when he is forced to spend time alone outside, while his mom entertains last night’s company inside. Crew needed: On-Location Sound Mixer, having own equipment is a plus, but not necessary; Camera Operator, having own equipment is a plus, but not necessary; Editor, must have editing software and knowledge of film grading. Cast Needed: Ian – six years of age, biracial in appearance, acting discipline, good w/direction; Stranger – 20s and over, slim to medium build, caucasian, acting discipline, good w/direction. CASTING CALL: Tiburon Transmedia is seeking actors for a promotional video filming in Houston, Texas. We are looking for a mix of ages and ethnicities: Girl & Guy groups of friends: 5 female actresses (late 20’s and early 30’s) 3 male actors (late 20’s and early 30’s). CASTING CALL: Parallax Film Productions Inc. is seeking cast for Pacific Fleet (Working Title), a WW2 re-enactment documentary tentatively scheduled to shoot April 4-22 in the Houston area. CASTING CALL: TV I.M.A.G.E Productions LLC is seeking cast for Family After All, A transmedia comedic drama production. Family After All tells the story of a trans woman as a mother, wife and entrepreneur in modern day society. The production also addresses the uncomfortable issues families are faced with such as HIV, teen pregnancy, gender identity, interracial relationships and more. Written as a stage play, screenplay and teleplay to not only highlight the city of Houston but to maintain consistent production to create and sustain employment within the performing arts and moving image industry. CASTING CALL: Actors needed for a short film shooting in Houston for a few days in early May 2017. “In My Mold” is an intimate story that explores identity and human connection with two lead characters in a same sex relationship. Cast Needed: MEI – Disconnected from the world, she spends most days just going through the motions. She is seeking something or someone to break her routine. CASTING CALL: Independent feature film KOLD is seeking 16 extras for two scenes tentatively scheduled to shoot March 3rd-5th depending on weather (it needs to be overcast or foggy, so date will be confirmed on Thursday) in Galveston, San Luis Pass. SCENE 1 (8:30A-Noonish): a funeral/mourning procession in an nondescript Texas town. People we need: males and females ages 40-60 with faces that tell a STORY. You have lived and experienced life and your face is a million unique stories. YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE AN ACTOR. Dress code: all black, no shorts. Can wear hats or scarves. SCENE 2 (2:00Pish-5Pish): A norteño dancing in front of a pick up truck. People we need: couples familiar with música norteña and who can dance to such music. We need 3-4 couples and 1 pick up truck that can be driven on the beach. Dress code: cowboy hats, boots, belts, jeans for men. Women can wear jeans or dresses. These are Unpaid Roles, but lunch, water, and a casting credit provided. No acting experience necessary (experienced actors welcome to submit). CASTING CALL: Student short film “Earth to Siluris” seeking cast for Houston area shoot late February thru mid-March. “Earth to Siluris”: A scientific meeting takes place in a school serving as a shelter for people during a catastrophic season: these are the last days of earth, and our protagonists most come up with a plan to send humanity to a new planet that will preserve their existence. Actors Needed: Male actor, ages between 40’s and 50’s, any race. Eastern Asian woman, late 20’s, African, African-American male, early 30’s, Caucasian female, early 30’s. Positions are Non-paid. CASTING CALL: Wevibe Network is seeking cast for short film IT’S JUST HAIR. Seeking a Caucasian female, age 22-30, blonde or brunette hair color on day of shoot, for a featured role in a hair salon scene. Must have acting training and experience in a featured role in a web series or short film. Will be required to try on wigs during the scene. The short film is a light hearted comedy about ethnic hair, featuring well known local comedians. We have shot several scenes already and unfortunately there was scheduling conflict with our previous actress selected for this scene. This will be a one day shoot. There is no pay, screen credit will be provided. Rehearsal is scheduled for the week of March 12th (2 week nights) and the shoot date Saturday, March 24th.
