Calling all free spirits, movers, and shakers! An exciting opportunity awaits you to channel your inner flower child and be a part of a vibrant journey back to the groovy ’60s and ’70s. If you’ve ever dreamed of donning bell bottoms, afros, and embracing the carefree spirit of an era gone by, this casting call is tailor-made for you.

Quiet Town, the renowned San Francisco brand dedicated to sustainable and functional home goods, is gearing up for a non-union online commercial that promises to be a joyful ode to the hippie culture of the ’60s and ’70s. The commercial is all about celebrating nostalgia while promoting a sustainable lifestyle – a perfect blend of the old and the new.

If you’re selected, get ready for a day filled with fun and creativity. First up, you’ll attend a half-day fitting session, where you’ll try on a range of wardrobe options that will transport you straight to the heart of the hippie era. After that, it’s lights, camera, action! The main shoot is scheduled for a full day of excitement and creativity. Your participation will help bring to life the vibrant energy of the ’60s and ’70s, capturing the essence of an unforgettable time. The shoot will take place on Thursday, September 7th, while the wardrobe fitting is slated for August 28th, 29th, or 31st. And don’t worry, even the callbacks/auditions are happening over Zoom on August 23rd, 24th, and 25th, making it convenient for all the aspiring flower children out there.

This is an inclusive call for all genders (women, men, nonbinary), any ethnicity or race. If you’re in your 20s or 30s and you’ve got the spirit of the ’60s and ’70s burning within you, we want to see it shine. Whether you rock medium to long hair, facial hair that’s all grown up, an Afro that’s a statement in itself, or shaggy hair that’s effortlessly cool, this is your chance to let your authentic self shine.

To throw your hat in the ring, you’ll need to submit a headshot or photo that captures your unique vibe, along with a resume or bio that gives us a glimpse into your world. But here’s the fun part: we want to see you in action! Record a 1-2 minute video where you showcase your movement, dancing, or improvisation skills, all while grooving to the late ’60s/’70s style music. Remember, the video should be unchoreographed, so let your creativity flow. And if you’ve got hidden talents like juggling, playing an instrument, or freestyle dancing, don’t hold back – include them in the video and let your individuality shine.

Your time and talent deserve recognition, and that’s why selected participants will receive a flat rate of $750. This comprehensive compensation covers the half-day fitting session, where you’ll spend 4 hours exploring different looks, and the full day of shooting on September 7th, spanning 8-10 hours of pure creative joy.
