Casting Call: Actor for Short Film

Role: BEACON – Husband of the Main Character

Role Description: We are seeking a talented actor to portray Beacon, a key character in our upcoming short film. Beacon is depicted as the loving and supportive husband of the main character, who is pregnant with their first child. His deep love and unwavering support for his wife are central to his role. The actor must be able to convey a strong sense of empathy, warmth, and affection, ensuring that their chemistry and connection are genuinely felt on screen.

Job Details:

• Dates: June 10, 12, 13, or 14, 2024. Talent will be required to work two of these days.
• Location Requirements: Must be able to work as a local hire in Atlanta, GA.
• Compensation: $240 per day plus 10% agency fee if applicable.
• Contract: Governed by the SAG Short Project Agreement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the director and other actors to bring the character of Beacon to life.
• Participate in all scheduled rehearsals as required by the production team.
• Follow direction and provide feedback during takes to achieve the best possible performance.
• Maintain professionalism and punctuality throughout the production period.

Requirements:

• Age: Late 20s to early 30s.
• Gender: Male.
• Ethnicity: Hispanic or African American.
• Experience: Prior acting experience in film or theatre. Experience with emotional and relational roles preferred.
• Skills: Strong emotional range and the ability to portray deep interpersonal connections authentically.
• Union: Must be a member of SAG-AFTRA or eligible to work under the SAG Short Project Agreement.

Compensation: $240 per day plus 10% agency fee if applicable.
