Casting Call for Young Talents for New York Women in Film and Television’s “Little Leading Ladies”

Casting directors are seeking 4 young talents who represent different careers in media for an upcoming New York Women in Film and Television Narrative Video filming in New York City.

New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) is a nonprofit membership organization for professional women in film, television and digital media. A champion of women’s rights, achievements and points of view in the film and television industry, NYWIFT is an educational forum for media professionals, and a network for the exchange of information and resources.

NYWIFT produces over 50 innovative programs and special events annually; advocates for women in the industry; and, recognizes and encourages the contributions of women in the field.

The annual New York Women in Film & Television Muse Awards is a glamorous luncheon to honor prominent film and television personalities. Designing Women, an annual gala co-presented by Variety, was created by NYWIFT to acknowledge and celebrate the influence and impact of costume designers, make-up artists and hair stylists on film and television.

Who says some little girls are too bossy? We believe they are exhibiting leadership skills.

“Little Leading Ladies” is a New York Women in Film and Television narrative video that follows the ambitions of 4 young girls who represent different careers in media. These “future” NYWIFT members are: a makeup artist from the 1970s, a mid 1980s director, a talk show host in the late 1980s, and a business owner on the playground in the 1990s.

All people involved in the project are working gratis, therefore, no extras will receive payment for the project.

We are looking for:

Girls age 6-10 years (all ethnicities)
*Must be able to blow a bubble with Hubba Bubba Gum
*Shoot is Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Brooklyn, NY

Boys age 7-10 years (all ethnicities)
*Shoot is Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Brooklyn, NY

Baby Boy age 1 – 1½ years (Hispanic)
