Tom Hanks to Start Filming Dan Brown’s ‘Inferno’ this April

Tom Hanks is returning to the big screen as Robert Langdon in a new ‘Dante’s Inferno’ movie.

Sony Pictures has locked in a deal with director Ron Howard, Robert Langdon and Tom Hanks for the sequel to ‘The DaVinci’s Code‘.

According to Deadline, filming is set to begin April of 2014. ‘Inferno‘ centers on Langdon as he attempts to stop someone from unleashing a terrible plague upon the world, while trying to uncover a mystery connect to Dante’s Inferno. Did we forget to mention that he is also suffering from amnesia?

Inferno’s screenplay was written by David Koepp, the writer of the critically acclaimed Ron Howard movie, ‘Rush‘. Koepp also wrote, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The previous feature film from the Langdon franchise, ‘Angels & Demons‘ made $486 million worldwide. No details on a release date or filming location.
