Simone Biles is this year’s AP female athlete of the year
The Associated Press chose Simone Biles as one of their top athletes of the year.
Simone Biles, an individual all-around, vault and floor gold medalist, was part of the gold medal-winning team known as the “Final Five” at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The all-star gymnast won a total of 19 Olympic and World Championship medals.
The AP said that Biles received 31 out of the 59 votes towards the grand title.
