Robin Williams may be gone but, his knowledge, legacy and comedy lives on. Check out his advice to aspiring actors in a newly re-released Robin Williams interview.

Robin Williams started as a stand-up comedian in San Francisco and Los Angeles in the mid-1970s and skyrockted to fame after appearing as Mork in the sitcom ‘Mork & Mindy’. He would later establish his career in both stand-up comedy and feature film acting. But, Robin Williams was also known for his improvisational acting skills.

It wasn’t until 1980 that Robin Williams made his film debut in the movie ‘Popeye’ which would later give rise to major motion pictures such as ‘The World According to Garp,’ ‘Good Morning, Vietnam,’ ‘Dead Poets Society,’ and ‘Good Will Hunting’.

In 1998, Robin Willams won the won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Dr. Sean Maguire in ‘Good Will Hunting.’ He also received two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, twoScreen Actors Guild Awards, and four Grammy Awards throughout his career.

However, on August 11th 2014, Robin Williams committed suicide by hanging himself at his home in Paradise Cay, California. Williams secretly hid a severe depression and Lewy body demntia.

But, before he died he did an interview with the Screen Actor’s Guild Foundation discussing how he landed a talent agent, acting tips, and some of his biggest projects.
