Guillermo del Toro and his fantasy The Shape of Water won two of the Oscar’s biggest categories at the 90th Academy Awards: Best Director and Best Film. Taking place during Cold War era America in the 1960s, The Shape of Water is a mixture of the 1950s and sci-fi.
The film includes amazing performances from Sally Hawkins as a mute custodian, Octavia Spencer as her opinionated best friend, Michael Shannon as the movie’s villain and Richard Jenkins as Hawkins’ next door neighbor.
