Coming from a musical background, the Rapper and Actor Young Trev was destined to become a star. The multitalented artist is the son of Eddie Jenkins who was a member of The Joy of Wonder; which is a well known Gospel group. Connected to such a bloodline, Young Trev began to find interest in music at age 11. It wasn’t until his senior year in High School music became a focus for the Harlemite. Young Trev was able to express the struggles he endured and his emotions through his music in a way his audience can relate. Born Trevor Brown on August 9th, 1991, Young Trev was raised in Harlem, New York which is a historic neighborhood known for music, fashion and setting trends both culturally and globally. Nurtured by a single mom who guided Young Trev and his two siblings, music was an escape from the harsh realities in his community. Motivated to rise above his circumstances, the future icon released a single titled “On Your Call” with an impressing 28,000+ views on YouTube and 15,000+ streams on Spotify. The climbing success has granted appearances on Power 105.1 placing the single in rotation. Popular radio tastemakers like DJ Self and DJ Prostyle extended their support in pushing “On Your Call”. Touring the city creating an organic buzz, Young Trev took his talents to Virginia to perform for Hip-Hop legend Irv Gotti for his series called Tales which aired on BET. Expanding his brand as an entertainer and entrepreneur, the Harlem native dived into acting making an incredible appearance on the 50 Cent produced show Power and Raising Kanan. The series contributed to Starz holding steady ratings and banking unprecedented subscribers. Aside from Young Trev’s career, humanitarian efforts were made assisting The Gordon Parks Foundation alongside Harriet Dedman on a project called These Restless Skies. Young Trev continues to bring awareness to his brand by positioning himself to be a superstar.
