But Zac Efron says that he has experienced awkward auditions in the past. “The one I have in my head I can’t say. It’s too bad!” he laughed during an interview with Cosmopolitan.

Despite having a horrible audition, Zac Efron credits his current acting career to the High School Musical franchise.

“It was overnight for me. At first you don’t know what to really do or think, it’s a bit overwhelming. I was very lucky because the work that I was doing when I started out was fun, it was uplifting. It was musicals and I was very blessed to work with really great directors when I was young, so I learned… not how to be famous, but how to be good at my craft.

It turned more for me from being famous to being an actor. I was really grateful for that because I realised fame wasn’t necessarily at all what I wanted, but I knew that I didn’t want to stop doing movies, I knew that I loved what I did. It was like a tightrope for a little while and then I found my balance. I’m still finding my balance.”

His co-star Emily Ratajkowski, became famous overnight after working on the hit movie Gone Girl playing Ben Affleck’s girlfriend. But, she first got her start as a music video vixen in Robin Thicke’s hit song Blurred Lines. Since then, her life has never been the same: “I think I started to realise as soon as people started stopping me on the street, and people reaching out to me who I hadn’t talked to in a very long time. It’s just a weird sensation. I think it’s really just about the people that you surround yourself with who keep you grounded, and just remembering what’s important in life. It sounds really cliche, but it helps.”
