Trumbo, a screenwriter and author of “Johnny Got His Gun” among other popular movies was part of Hollywood 10, a group of screenwriters and directors who were later blacklisted after refusing to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1947. Trumbo would later go on to write films using fronts and fake names throughout the 1950’s including “Roman Holiday,” for which he won of his two Oscars.

This will be Bryan Cranston‘s first major leading role after several supporting roles including Drive, Argo, Rock of Ages, Total Recall and Godzilla.

Bryan Cranston revealed he picks roles by focusing on the story, script and character. “An actor can only raise the level of bad writing by a grade,” Cranston said of his complicated points system. “C writing, and I don’t care if you’re Meryl Streep — you can only raise it to a B.” “Trumbo,” it seems, met Cranston’s standards.

Producers for “Trumbo” are now hiring crew members to work on the production. To apply submit your resume to [email protected]. This is only for job opportunities. We will keep you updated when acting opportunities become available.
