Netflix’s ‘The Gray Man’ Starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans To Film in Los Angeles

Netflix is spending millions on a new thriller movie, ‘The Gray Man’, starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans.

According to reports, the movie’s budget is $200 million is based on a series of books by Mark Greaney. ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ directors Joe and Anthony Russo will direct the movie with a script written by Joe and contributions by Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus.

Netflix is planning on creating a film franchise around the movie. Ryan Gosling will play a former CIA agent, Court Gentry. Gentry is a freelance assassin who is being chased down by his former agency associate Lloyd Hansen, who is played by Chris Evans.

“We have all committed to the first movie, and that’s got to be great to get us to the second movie,” said Joe Russo.

Netflix is planning on expanding its original content as the traditional movie theater experience becomes a distant memory due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Production on ‘The Gray Man’ is expected to start this January 2021 in Los Angeles, California.

In other entertainment news, Netflix is now looking for aspiring writers. Imagine Impact from Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s production company, is looking for submissions as part of their deal with Netflix. The open submissions are looking to identify and help develop feature film ideas in four different genres, over the next year. The first four genre-specific application windows open Wednesday. The first round of projects is considered “large scale action-adventure movies for all audiences.”
