Aspiring Atlanta Actor Found in California Desert with His Organs Missing

Date:

While Georgia’s film industry is thriving, behind the scenes there are thousands of aspiring actors, models, and talents working on their craft, making connections, and essentially doing whatever it takes to become successful. One such aspiring actor and model was Ryan Singleton.

In what sounds like a spinoff of the hit movie Get Out, Singleton was found dead with his organs missing after traveling to Los Angeles.

According to an 11 Alive news report by Vinnie Politan and Tiffany McCall, Singleton rented a car to drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Two hours into his five-hour drive, the car broke down in Death Valley. California Highway Patrol found him walking along the highway and decided to drive him to the nearest gas station in Baker, California. While he waited for his friend from Los Angeles to pick him up, he disappeared.

His body was found 74 days later, nearly two miles away from the gas station, without his organs.”

Despite apparently getting murdered, harvested, and left for dead, his mother, Iris Flowers, is proud of her son for going after his dreams.

“I’m glad that he did go. He took the courage, and he went. He was brave. Ryan was never afraid to try anything. He was never afraid. Most things he tried, he mastered,” Flowers explained to 11 Alive.

Who is Ryan Singleton?

Singleton started his career in the entertainment industry at 21 leaving his mother’s house in Georgia to become a model in New York City. He quickly landed a runway modeling job during one of the biggest fashion events in the world – New York Fashion Week.

After completing his goals as a model, he dreamed of becoming an actor. He and his friends packed their stuff and left New York City for Los Angeles, where they documented their journey.

In the docuseries called, “Are We Famous Yet?” Ryan’s three friends, now filmmakers, are telling Ryan’s story in hopes of finding how he died.

Ryan would eventually move back to Georgia. Before he died, Ryan asked his mother a question. “Something bad is going to happen to me isn’t it?”

Two days later, Ryan left for Los Angeles, and it was the last time Iris saw her son alive.

What happened to Ryan Singleton?

Despite police thoroughly searching the area around the convenience store, two joggers and hikers would eventually find Ryan’s body with his organs missing two months later. The autopsy report lists the cause of death as undetermined. Ryan Singleton’s death remains an open investigation and an unsolved mystery.
