Jennifer Lawrence reveals she will direct ‘Project Delirium’.

According to reports, Jennifer Lawrence will direct Project Delirium a movie based on a New Yorker report “Operation Delirium” by Raffi Khatchadorian. In the report, Khatchadorian exposes the classified human subject research at Edgewood Arsenal, Maryland. The purpose of the human test was to evaluate the impact of chemical ware agents on military personnel and to test protective clothing, vaccines and drugs. A small portion of these studies included psychochemical warfare. Over 7,000 soldiers took part in the experiments that included exposure to more than 250 different chemicals.

The drugs under review ranged from tear gas and LSD to highly lethal nerve agents, like VX, a substance developed at Edgewood and, later, sought by Saddam Hussein.

Some of the volunteers would later file lawsuits several years later.

The soldiers were never told what they were given, or what the specific effects might be, and the Army made no effort to track how they did afterward. Edgewood’s most extreme critics raise the spectre of mass injury—a hidden American tragedy.

“It’s funny, I’ve wanted to direct since I was 16 and always thought I should start making steps towards that. If I had tried to do it earlier, I wouldn’t have been ready,” said J-Law. “Now I actually feel ready.”

Jennifer Lawrence announced that she and Trainwreck comedian Amy Schumer are currently co-writing a screenplay, where the two actors play sisters.

Jennifer Lawrence is currently working on Passengers starring Chris Pratt in Atlanta, Georgia. Her next feature film will be David O. Russell’s new movie Joy which is to be released on Christmas Day.
