White Actor Cast to Play Michael Jackson in a New Movie

Joseph Fiennes has been cast Michael Jackson for a new TV movie.

Fiennes will play the chart-topping singer alongside Brian Cox as Marlon Brando and Stockard Channing as Elizabeth Taylor, according to The Guardian. The movie entitled, “Elizabeth, Michael, and Marlon,” will be based on a story first reported in Vanity Fair. A former employee of Michael Jackson claims that the singer invited the legendary actors to see him perform in New York days before 9/11. Fiennes is best known for his 1998 movie Shakespeare in Love. He has also appeared in "American Horror Story" and the Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson action movie, Hercules.  Helga Esteb / Shutterstock.com Jackson is one of the most popular singers of all time, with his chart topping album Thriller selling over 30 million copies alone as of 2015. His life changed dramatically after being accused of child molestation, even though Jackson was never convicted. He would later die in 2009. This news comes as the Oscars were bashed for the lack of diversity in Hollywood after two consecutive years of nominating only white actors.
