Did you watch the Ghostbusters reboot trailer? Did you hate it? If so, then you are not alone.
The new Ghostbusters movie is set to hit theaters on July 15, 2016 and it features Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones fighting ghosts, which sounds like a really good movie.
However, Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot with a predominately female cast isn’t doing so well in the marketing department. In fact, Ghostbusters is the “most disliked trailer in YouTube history,” according to ScreenCrush. The trailer currently has over 28 million views, with 205,000 “likes” and 507,000 “dislikes,” and that number is only going to increase with commenters demanding “let’s get it to a million or more.”
It seems as though people just really hate the new Ghostbusters movie. Here’s just a few of the YouTube comments.
I’d rather go to my Dads funeral again than see this visual train wreck of a nightmare. On one hand you have a gut wrenching experience, that shakes me to my very core and leaves me forever changed for the worse and the memory of it haunts me everyday, and on the other hand you have my Dads funeral. Yes my Dads funeral sucked but at least it was over in 45 minutes.
this movie will be worse then 9/11
I will never be able to talk about one of my favourite movies again without saying that of course I don’t mean the fu**ing remake!!!!
I really hope the movie does well in the Box Office and this is just a viral campaign to bash the reboot. If not, at least Sony Pictures still has Channing Tatum who is rumored to appear in a male version reboot of Ghostbusters.
