#BoycottBeyonce Goes Viral: Protest Rally Against Beyonce Coming Soon

Date:

An Anti-Beyonce protest is coming soon after #BoycottBeyonce goes viral.

The controversy surrounding Beyonce’s Super Bowl 50 performance isn’t going away. Complainer who found Beyonce’s performance dedicated to the Black Panthers problematic are planning on taking their #BoycottBeyonce tweets to the streets of New York City.

An EventBrite just popped up for an Anti-Beyonce protest taking place in front of NFL headquarters in New York City next week. The anonymous organizer is in charge of the rally says the protest who found Beyonce’s performance as “Race-baiting.”

“Are you offended as an American that Beyonce pulled her race-baiting stunt at the Superbowl? Do you agree that it was a slap in the face to law enforcement? Do you agree that the Black Panthers was/is a hate group which should not be glorified?”

People who agree with the #boycottBeyonce protest are urged to attend the rally so they can tell the NFL they “don’t want hate speech and racism at the Super Bowl ever again.”

The protest takes place on Tuesday, February 16th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., outside the NFL headquarters. The invite does ask for protestors to be peaceful, but fails to take into account Beyonce’s loyal followers.

An anti-anti-Beyonce protest has also been scheduled for the day, time and location as the anti-Beyonce rally. And this one may be more entertaining as protestors are encouraged to dress in their best “Formation” Super Bowl performance attire.

When Black women affirm Blackness/Black womanhood, they are attacked and silenced.

This is a counter protest to Anti-Beyonce Protect, a racist, ahistorical attack on the Black Panther Party and Beyonce, plus an excuse to celebrate a very awesome song and #BlackGirlMagic moment.

Sisters, dress in your “Formation” video/Super Bowl performance-inspired gear and make this a moment a joyous one! Allies and friends, show up and show your support!

We have asked our biggest stars to get political and Bey went there. Don’t let anyone make her powerful statement about the value of Black life be overshadowed by those who don’t believe that our lives matter.

It is important to note that the Super Bowl Beyonce controversy is spreading across the world. A Toronto politician wants the Canadian government to investigate Beyonce to see if she is funding the New Black Panthers. And if she is, he wants to stop her from bringing her Formation tour to Toronto.

“Perhaps Immigration Minister John McCallum should have her investigated first?” questioned Toronto city counselor Jim Karygiannis. “If someone wore bullets and supported (a radical group) here, they would not be welcomed in the United States — that’s for sure.”

In addition, the politician called Beyonce’s homage to the Black Panthers as “disturbing” because “we should not be promoting gun culture or anti-police sentiments.”
