Rumor: ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ To Film in Atlanta

Date:

Is Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War going to film in Atlanta, Georgia?

A new Marvel movie is now in production in Atlanta and rumors are circulating around the ATL that the new Marvel movie, Avengers: Infinity War will film in Atlanta, Georgia.

And those rumors might actually be true…

According to Come Tour Georgia, a new Marvel titled “Mary Lou Part 1 & 2” is now in production in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, CinemaBlend reports that the next Marvel to start up production is Avengers: Infinity Wars Part 1 and Part 2. Written and directed by the creative team from Captain America: Civil War, The Avengers: Infinity War will focus on basically every character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe including the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man and even Ant-Man, which should provide quite an amazing movie.

This should not really come as a surprise. Recently, Captain America: Civil War’s director revealed how he loved filming in Atlanta saying it was the best place ever to film. Captain America: Civil War filmed in the now unofficial Marvel studios, Pinewood Atlanta Studios. According to 11Alive, “The climate for filmmaking is excellent,” co-director Anthony Russo told 11Alive’s Jennifer Leslie. “Marvel’s having a great run here.” Russo added, “I think it’s like the best place my brother and I have ever shot, to be honest with you,” Russo said. “It’s a top-shelf production facility. We’re lucky to be here.”

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming has already started production in Atlanta. Tom Holland spilled the beans during an interview saying:

“We’re shooting in Atlanta for most of it, because they have studios there and I think it’s cheaper to build a New York set than it is to shoot here, because it’s going to be very expensive,” Holland shared. “We probably will end up here (in New York) for one week or two.”
