River Monsters discovers man on a deserted island and save his life. River Monsters presenter Jeremy Wades has probably seen it all, but nothing could have prepared him for what he encountered while filming one day. In a new episode, Death Down Under, which aired last week, the crew captured on camera an extraordinary moment when they came face to face with a castaway on a deserted island. The team was investigating the death of six men in a plane crash near Australia's Gulf of Carpentaraia when they spotted the fisherman crying for help. Stephen Shearman director of the episode told Inside edition: "He had said his last prayer. He was prepared to die and meet his maker." The director revealed that the team had not originally intended on filming at that end of the island, but due to choppy waters at their first film location they decided to move. He revealed: "Together, we spotted this blue Esky, or cooler box, that was just sat on the rock." Ironically, the team started joking that Tom Hanks might pop out of nowhere. But to their surprise someone really did appear. This guy with no clothes was running out of the cave, waving his arms out." It was later discovered that the man, named Tremine, had been stranded for over 60 hours after venturing off his fishing boat in search of better oysters. Tremine was unable to predict the weather conditions and found himself trapped after taking a wrong turn. "He had tried to walk back, got beaten by the sun, and made his way back to the beach. Meanwhile, he had suffered from sunstroke and was unable to go any further. He then spent that first night on the beach, and the next morning he tried again, but the sun had gotten to be too much for him, and at this point, he is now trapped. Everything was fine, and within two to three hours, everything wasn't really fine at all. In his own words, he was 'preparing to die.'" Your body can only survive for up to 72 hours without water, meaning Tremine was going to die in a few hours. With no wife or children, nobody on the mainland had suspected Tremine had gone missing, but luckily fate was on his side and he survived to live another day. As soon as the crew found him, he was hauled aboard the boat and given hydration pills. "His body wasn't ready for that at all. His condition was quite serious. I don't know if you've met Australian men, but they're very proud. The idea that he'd gotten lost was mortifying for him. Once he got rehydrated, his strength gained straight back. His recovery was quick." You can see what other surprises River Monsters has in store this season by tuning in to Animal Planet on Thursdays at 10pm.

A reporter revealed she tried to warn Subway Jared was a pedophile but the company ignored her. A reporter who claims she was an informant for the FBI claims she also tried to warn Subway that the face of their company had been making sexual comments about her kids, but "never heard back from them." Rochelle Herman-Walrond, a Florida journalist who says she tipped the FBI after hearing Fogle make inappropriate remarkes about middle school girls, revealed that she tried to tell Subway about Fogle's inappropriate relationships with children but, Subway ignored her. She says she's not sure of the exact date and doesn't have a copy of the email because she sent it through a comment form on Subway's corporate website. But she knows for sure that Subway never contacted her back. “I told them how Jared had approached my children—that I met him during my radio show program—and that he had approached my children and had made sexual comments about wanting to do things with my children and their friends,” Herman-Walrond said. “I never got a ‘Thank you for emailing’ or anything like that, but I sent it and it did go through.” She's since detailed her involvement investigating Jared Fogle, claiming she wore a wire for over five years and recorded conversations where he allegedly discussed having sex with children. He also, allegedly asked her to install hidden cameras in her kids' rooms. “I had two young children at the time, and he talked to me about installing hidden cameras in their rooms and asked me if I would choose which child I would like him to watch,” she told Inside Edition Thursday.

The transgender community is not too happy with Caitlyn Jenner's transition. Caitlyn Jenner's public transition was a highly orchestrated public relations campaign. Her Twitter page @Caitlyn_Jenner, allowed for her to gain over 1 million follwers in a matter of a few hours, and the ESPY Awards announced Jenner will receive the prestigious Arthur Ashe Courage Award for her bravery for publicly coming out as a transgender woman. While Caitlyn Jenner's transition has become mostly a success, some people in the transgender community are not too happy. “Caitlyn Jenner is just Kardashian 2.0,” Zoey Tur, “Inside Edition” trans correspondent and host of KFI radio talk show, “He Said, She Said” toldTheWrap. “I’ve received well over 100 messages from trans women who said they didn’t want to transition anymore because they feel that they can never live up to the Caitlyn Jenner ideal.” Many people argue the Vanity Fair pictures and the well-known plastic surgeons have made it extremely difficult for other people to transition. “Trans women are feeling that the sexualized photos are actually a fetishized version of what men believe women should look like,” Tur said. “It’s an unattainable stereotype that will have a reverse effect on trans people.” “Caitlyn is still very much kind of an out of reach Hollywood icon who doesn’t have to spare any expense to look absolutely marvelous,” said George Moll, executive producer of “Becoming Us,” a transgender docu-series which premieres Monday on ABC Family. “While I applaud Caitlyn, I think it’s glamorized to a point where it’s not anywhere near what the reality is for the vast majority of trans people.” “She doesn’t necessarily represent the experiences of the majority of trans people,” said Laura Erickson-Schroth, an LGBT health and public psychiatry fellow with Columbia University. “I think many are middle or lower class; they’re people of color; they don’t have access to necessarily good mental health care, hormones, surgeries — the kind of things that Caitlyn might have access to, being someone who’s wealthy.” Source: TheWrap Discuss this story with fellow Project Casting fans on Facebook. Mo'Nique reveals why she thinks she was blackballed and how Lee Daniels shot down her career. During an interview with Inside Edition, Mo'Nique responded to the controversy that erupted following her recent comments about being blackballed in Hollywood. In the interview, Mo'Nique reveals she was only paid $50,000 for her work on the Academy Award winning role in Precious, adding that director Lee Daniels told her she has been blackballed for not playing by Hollywood's politics. "I'm not complaining about the money because that's what I signed up for," she says. The actress has not landed any major roles since her win and, according to Daniels, her reputation of being "difficult" is the reason why she is no longer a leading actress in any movie roles or TV shows. [caption id="attachment_73666" align="aligncenter" width="333"] Featureflash / Shutterstock.com[/caption] This is what Mo'Nique has to say: Daniels told Mo'Nique that she made too many demands and no one in Hollywood wanted to work with her because of her reputation for being so difficult. "To say that I am difficult, any project that I have ever done, when they say 'Wrap' and that's it, we are all hugging and crying, speaking about the great experience that we had," she told Trent. He asked, "You think there are ways that you can act differently in the future where you wouldn't be labelled as difficult?" She replied, "You know what, Les? To stand up for what is wrong, I couldn't even do that differently. Would I not stand up for Gabourey Sidibe who they wanted to fly coach to France. That is a long ride, we are big women. I will still stand up for that. I will never stop standing up for injustice." [via] Mo'Nique says that Lee Daniels did offer a role in his hit movie The Butler but the part went to Oprah Winfrey instead. Other acting roles "just went away," she says. Mo'Nique is now promoting her latest movie, Blackbird, which is an independent movie she stars and produces. The movie comes out in April.
