Taika Waititi‘s upcoming soccer movie is now casting extras in Oahu, Hawaii.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming in Oahu, Hawaii.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • Polynesian
  • African American
  • Men and Women
  • 18 and older only

Deadline reports Taika Waititi will write and direct a movie for Fox Searchlight Pictures. It will be an adaptation on the sports doc directed by Mike Brett and Steve Jamison. The documentary centered around Dutch coach Thomas Rongen’s attempt to take the American Samoa soccer team, which was essentially non-competitive on the world stage, to respectability… and maybe even to the World Cup.
