‘Sesame Street’ Casting Call for Speaking Roles

An upcoming Sesame Street production is now casting multiple speaking roles.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on Monday, July 15th in New York.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • • Main Character: skinny brown-skinned boy (Indian or Central American), age ~8, playful, charismatic, singer a plus (but not required). If comfortable, please sing your favorite song in your submission.
  • • Camp Counselor: 20-35 years old, female or male (African-American, Latino, or mixed-race)
  • • Campers (4-5): ~8 years old, mix of boys/girls of all races/ethnicities
  • • Camper with Disability: ~8 years old, boy or girl. Disability can include wheelchair use. Please specify disability in submission, as well as range of ability, both physical and intellectual. If possible to demonstrate range of movement/speech in submission video, please do.

How to apply:

Footage Films is casting a micro-budget short film for Sesame Street, filming in the Beacon area on Monday, 7/15 (rain date Tuesday, 7/16). Non-Union.

Please submit via email with recent photo, and video with the following:
– state your name and age
– tell us something you love about nature
– tell us what kindness means to you
– show us your favorite movement to do with your body (exercise, dance move, hand movement, etc)
– BONUS: tell us a story about an experience you had doing something kind for someone else
