FX’s Reservation Dogs cast, casting calls, auditions, and news you should know.

Reservation Dogs is an upcoming comedy TV series created by Taika Waititi and Sterlin Harjo. The series is set to premiere in 2021 on FX on HULU in the United states, and internationally through Disney+.

The series was first reported in 2019 and was confirmed by Taika Waititi on Twitter. The initial report announced Waititi would be co-writing the series with Native American filmmaker Sterlin Harjo, who would also share executive producer and directing duties with Waititi. After the pilot had been shot in Okmuglee, Oklahoma, FX announced a series order for the project in December 2020. The casting of the series lead four actors D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Devery Jacobs, Paulina Alexis, and newcomer Lane Factor, was also confirmed at this time, alongside a group of guest stars to be featured in the pilot episode.

Reservation Dogs Casting Calls

  • A Native American / Indigenous male stand-in, 5’9″ – 5’11”, is needed full time, for the FX television series RESERVATION DOGS.

Filming is Monday – Friday through May 25, beginning this Monday, May 10.

The person selected must be available to test for COVID-19 today, Friday, May 7 or tomorrow, May 8, before 2:00 pm in either OKC or Tulsa. Compensation for initial COVID testing is $100.

This person will work on set in place of one of the lead actors, assisting the camera and lighting crews as they make their final adjustments between takes.

Filming locations are in Tulsa and Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

The FX television series is executive produced by Taika Waititi. It is written, directed and produced by award-winning Oklahoma filmmaker Sterlin Harjo.

The comedy series is about four Native American teenagers growing up on a reservation in eastern Oklahoma.

Rate for stand-ins is a guarantee of $120/day. Anything over 10 hours will incur additional pay at $12/hour.

Extras are needed soon to appear in the television series RESERVATION DOGS, now filming in OK.

Some extras are needed to portray “meth heads” this Thursday, April 22. Others are needed to be Native (or Indigenous) Teenagers Friday, April 23.

Those selected to appear in those roles will be required to test for COVID-19 typically two days prior to filming. Anyone tested will be provided additional compensation fo $100.

Filming locations are in Tulsa and Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Pay to appear in the scenes is a guarantee of $80/day. Anything over 8 hours will incur additional pay at $10/hour. People selected can appear in multiple scenes over multiple days, if desired.

[CASSIDY] 35 to 50 years old, Black female. no nonsense. She works in the testing department of the DMV and she’s sick of teenagers. 6 lines, 1 Speech 1 Scene CO – STAR

[COWBOY] 25 to 66 years old, Black male. He waits his turn at the DMV and is a little concerned his turn will never come. 3 lines. CO-STAR

[RED-HAIRED WOMAN] 25 to 60 years old, white female. She waits her turn at the DMV, frustrated she has a high number. 2 lines. CO-STAR

[TEENAGER] 18 to 22 years old TO PLAY 16, all ethnicities male or female. Testing for their driver’s license, this teenager a little snobby about driving a Prius. 2 lines. CO-STAR

[NURSE] Clinic 25 to 60 years old, Indigenous female. A nurse at the Indian Health. She calls for Bear. 1 scene, 2 lines.

[OLD MAN FIXICO] 60 to 75 years old, Indigenous male. He holds court at the Indian Health Clinic, telling tales, pulling legs and shooting the bull. 2 scenes, 4 lines, 1 speech.

He is super excited rapper Putting Lusty is going to headline the Anti-Diabetes Wellness Fair, and he will hear no thoughts Lusty’s appearance may not be a good idea. 2 scenes, 8 lines, 3 speeches.

Extras Casting Call

The first group of extras has been announced for the television series RESERVATION DOGS, soon to begin filming in Oklahoma.

The FX television series is executive produced by Taika Waititi. It is written, directed, and produced by award-winning Oklahoma filmmaker Sterlin Harjo.

The comedy series is about four Native American teenagers growing up on a reservation in eastern Oklahoma.

Filming will be in the Okmulgee, OK area, with some scenes filming in Tulsa.

Pay for extras is a guarantee of $80/day for up to 8 hours of filming. Anything over 8 hours will incur additional compensation.

Anyone selected to be an extra in this film must test for COVID-19 at the production’s testing facility in Tulsa, OK. Following testing and before employment, all persons must complete online COVID-19 safety training. Compensation for testing and safety training will be an additional $100/person.

Strict health and safety procedures, following all union guidelines, will be followed on set.
