Popeyes Talent Search for Aspiring Musicians

Date:

Popeyes is now hiring out-of-work musicians to remake the “Love That Chicken” Jingle.

Musicians who post songs of themselves performing the iconic track using #LoveThatJingle could end up with their version appearing in one Popeye’s commercials. “We know times are tough and venues are closed,” Popeyes says in the promo clip below. “So we have a new venue for musicians to play. Our ads.”

New Orleans jazz musician Dr. John created the original version of the song and even performed it in early musical performances.

To enter, musicians (who are not members of a union) may visit Popeyes’ website to play from the official “Love That Chicken” sheet music or, if they don’t read music, they can learn the song via a play-along video. Entrants will then be able to submit their demo recordings on social media using the hashtag #LoveThatJingle.

You have until May 18 to share your version of the Popeyes jingle. Popeyes will choose a few entries for TV and radio commercials and you will get paid if selected. Before selection, the Popeyes chan will feature a select few demos in their social posts.
