Disney’sPeter Pan and Wendy‘ is now casting lead speaking roles.

Peter Pan and Wendy is an upcoming live-action feature film directed by David Lowery. The movie will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Filming is expected to start in March 2020 for filming set from April through July 2020 in Canada.

UPDATE: Disney casting directors are now accepting submissions from Australian citizens and residents.

Kimberley Gatt is now accepting submissions for the following roles:

  1. Wendy Moira Angela Darling (10 -15 years old) – A mischievous, playful girl who is due to go to boarding school — a transition she dreads. She is not ready to say goodbye to childhood and grow up. LEAD SPEAKING ROLE.
  2. Peter Pan (11 – 14 years old) – The personification of boyhood, a magical youth who never has to grow up. A magnificent and fearless swordsman and fighter. LEAD SPEAKING ROLE.
  3. John Darling (9 – 12 years old) – A young boy with an old head on his shoulders. Loves to play sword fighting games of derring-do with his siblings. LEAD SPEAKING ROLE.
  4. Michael Darling (7 – 10 years old) – A sweet boy who never lets go of his constant companion — a stuffed bear. LEAD SPEAKING ROLE.

Submissions must be received by Wednesday 15th January 2020 (AEST).

The film is set to begin production on April 17th in Canada. According to reports, the live-action adaptation of ‘Peter Pan’ is retitled ‘Peter Pan & Wendy’. Director David Lowery from ‘Pete’s Dragon’ will direct the movie with Toby Halbrooks, who co-wrote ‘Pete’s Dragon’. Jim Whitaker from ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ will be producing the project alongside Joe Roth ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’.

Verity Naughton is the casting director behind the project. According to her IMDB, Verity Naughton is known for casting Disney’s ‘The Evermoor Chronicles’ and ‘Berlin Station’.

Kimberley Gatt is doing the casting in Australia. According to her IMDB, Kimberley Gatt is known for casting several TV shows and movies including ‘Sweet Tooth’, ‘On The Ropes’, and ‘Never Too Late’.
