National TV Commercial Open Oklahoma City Casting Call

Date:

Open Call For Dancers, Basketball Players & Fans for National TV Commercial

Do you know the Russell Westbrook/Cameron Payne pre-game dance/handshake? D you think you can imitate it? Or at least have fun trying?

Freihofer Casting will hold an open call Tuesday, seeking fans, basketball players and dancers of all ages to audition for a national television commercial filming next week in Oklahoma City.

The busy casting office will have an open call this Tuesday, June 1, in Norman, OK.

The casting office is inviting fans to attend the open call any time between 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and show us their best imitation of Russell Westbrook’s pregame handshake/dance with Cameron Payne, highlighted in the video above.

“Nobody has to be perfect,” said Casting Director Chris Freihofer. “It doesn’t have to be spot on. It just needs to be in the same tone, and above all, it needs to be fun. Come as an individual, come as a couple or come as a group. This is your chance to show your support and thanks to a fantastic team.”

Freihofer said the producer and director are looking for individuals of all ages, shapes, sizes and ethnicities, age 5-100.

“Anybody that is a fan that can make their best and not necessarily perfect attempt at Russell and Cameron’s handshake are invited to put their hat in the ring.”

Those attending the open call must be available to attend a callback audition with the commercial’s New York director on Wednesday, June 1, in Norman, OK, and then must be available to film one day on the commercial either Friday, June 3 or Monday, June 6 in Oklahoma City.

Though neither Freihofer Casting nor the Los Angeles producers are allowed to name what the commercial is for, all involved promise it to be a quality project for a big advertiser that all Thunder fans will be proud to be a part of.

All individuals selected to appear in the commercial will be paid, and the commercial will be governed by SAG-AFTRA.

The open call will be held at The Actor Factory, 3750 W Main St, building Five Park A, Norman, OK, 73072. This is located in the Park on Main business park, west of I-35 near the intersection of NW 36th Street and Main. No appointments are necessary.

Athlete Eligibility: ANYONE IN 8TH GRADE THRU COLLEGE WHO PLAYS, OR PLANS TO PLAY, ON A SCHOOL SPORTS TEAM, SHOULD NOT AUDITION FOR THIS CAMPAIGN, AS THEY WILL NOT BE HIRED. Anyone 25 or younger who is auditioning for the role of an athlete for this campaign must complete an Amateur Athlete Questionnaire. Session fees and residuals for an athlete with eligibility issues will be donated to the SAG Foundation.
