Looking for a Job? Red Productions is Now Hiring

Red Productions Is Hiring!

Are you a young media professional looking to make your mark in the world of video production? Do you like to be handed a bunch of puzzle pieces and left to put them together on your own? Do you like to write and facilitate relationships? How about creating something out of nothing in the most interesting way possible? Are you always striving to give your very best? If this sounds like you, then you might be able to help us. We are looking for talented individuals to join our team in 3 new entry level roles!

These individuals will be responsible for creative development, production, post-production, and delivery of smaller projects with the direct supervision of a Producer. The ideal candidates will possess at least one of the above passions, and have some experience acting as a “one person team” on productions of their own. We will primarily be looking for candidates with interest in either cinematography, editing, and/or directing/producing.

These roles are springboards into higher level positions at Red Productions. We want candidates who are looking to learn and grow in their respective interest; who want to move up in our team. They must also be candidates who strive to create the very best work they can, while also making the experience fun for those around them.

Our close-knit team works with a select roster of directors, writers, cinematographers, and other bright creatives allowing us to provide our Clients with everything they need. These entry level roles will look to relieve our team of 8 and take over some of the jobs that we do not have the time or budget needed to provide them with the undivided attention and excellent service all our clients deserve.

In addition to the above responsibilities, these roles will assist Red Productions in their corresponding departments and fill in where needed. EXAMPLES: The Editing candidate will act as an Assistant Editor on larger projects; the Cinematography candidate will act as a Grip or Camera Operator on larger sets as well as assist with lite office and equipment maintenance; and the Directing/Producing candidate will act as a Key Set PA on larger sets and assist the Producing team with various paperwork and tasks.

Red Productions has all the trappings of a 21st-century creative office: dogs, a kegerator, fun music streaming for most of the day and open workspaces. We also have quiet time to dig in and focus. Oh, and 401k, health benefits, vacation/sick time, and profit sharing. You’re also given two days of paid time off for serving the community through what we call “giving back days”. These are full-time roles located at our studio in Fort Worth with around five percent travel, and a TENTATIVE START DATE of July 18.

Application Process

Please upload your resume + cover letter. Your resume should document your work accomplishments, awards, education/training, and experience. It should also include links of examples in the area you would like to apply for. If you want to edit, show us videos you have edited. If you want to shoot, show us clips you have shot. If you want to direct/produce, show us videos you have directed/produced and how they came to be. BE SURE TO LET US KNOW WHICH ROLE YOU ARE APPLYING FOR IN YOUR COVER LETTER. Please upload everything in PDF format. To start, just follow the provided link.

Responsibilities/Expectations

  • Perform pre-production, production, and post-production services for mid-tier projects from beginning to completion to allow our senior staff to focus on our higher level projects
  • Serve as assistants when not working on individual projects by acting as Assistant Editor, Grip, Camera Operator, Production Assistant, etc.; and perform various tasks around the office as needed.
  • Gain a clear understanding of Company Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production workflow and how we service our clients
  • Maintain continuous knowledge of project status
  • Stay current and knowledgeable on the present and evolving techniques/technology of video production
  • Ability and motivation to carry out responsibilities with some supervision
